I've stayed at the Hotel ML before. At one time in it's past it was a Marriott. I tried for a Philly center hotel 3.5+ and went as high as $95 but couldn't get anything.

Bid on Sat around 11:00 AM; Charlotte; Doubletree Southpark; Priceline 3.5*, first bid of $44 accepted for Sunday 11/09/08

I bid $60 on Priceline for 3* in South Park and didn't get it, so I bought this one on Hotwire which turned out to be the Holiday Inn by the airport. 2/12/07

3* Charlotte Southpark - $65 - Doubletree for 2/5/07. Started at $45. Hotwire was $68.

First bid, probably should have gone lower. Hotwire had it for $59 so I guess $45 isn't so bad!

3* Philadelphia - Doubletree (Broad & Locust) $65 1/11/07 - 1/14/07; This was my first bid, so you may be able to get it for even less. If you are going to the US Lacrosse convention, as I am, this hotel is about 6 blocks from the convention center. Not too bad a walk.

I've never seen this happen before! I bid $65 for a 2* (two-nights) and got upgraded to a 3*. Maybe I bid too high. But I'm just happy UMass is in the lax final four and I'm going! :)

First bid at $35 failed, second bid at $44 got Extended Stay America, 20 McDaniell Drive; Jacksonville, NC. I hope it's not a dump, 2* is the best Priceline had for Jacksonville. Hotwire had nothing (ie Jacksonville is not listed on hotwire).

I was hoping to stay in Matthews, but my $40 bid for a 2.5* there was rejected. I looked at Hotwire and found a 2.5* in Southpark for $54. Went back to Priceline and bid $45 for 3* in Southpark. Accepted by Doubletree Suites (great hotel for $45!).

Hotwire 3* in Wilmington NC = $54 - Marriott Courtyard; 151 Van Campen Blvd; Wilmington, NC for 2/28/06 - 3/1/06. I bid $40 on priceline but it didn't take. Since there is only one zone in Wilmington you can't use the multiple zone strategy. Priceline wants you to increase by $12 to bidf again.

I don't know what the area is called. It's the intersection of Market Street and College Street/I-40. Dat of stay was 1/23/06. THIS IS WILMINGTON, NC ALSO KNOWN AS THRILLMINGTON OR WILMYWOOD!

That's awesome! I had to bid $85 in December 05 for that level in Southpark.

Marriott Courtyard; 2 1/2 * (where 74 and 40 intersect). First bid of $45 accepted. Last time (November, 05) I bid $65 on first bid, way too high! Next time I'll try $40.

3* Atlanta Mid-Town $65 Marriott Suites; started bidding at $42. 1/21/06

Dalls 3.5* (Downtown Turtle Creek) $62 for Stoneleigh;1/12/06 - 1/15/06. Used the tips from this board and got a great hotel, with-in walking distance of the convention I am attending, for $120/night less than the other guys are paying. You gotta luv it!

Dallas 4* (Downtown Dallas) $75 rejected. Went to Hotwire and got Stoneleigh (3.5*) for $62

4* Dallas (Downtown) $65 rejected 12-23-05; still trying

12-9-05 Just got Hyatt Southpark for $71. Started at $46, bid four times using the "add another zone where there are no 3* strategy". A year ago I consistently got this for $45. I guess with the economy up, and probably more people using PL, they upped their threshold.
