I have looked through the forums and see that before, Priceline allowed bids for 3.5 and 4 star hotels in the USVI. Now, it seems they only have up to 1 - 3* and resorts. There are no offerings for 3.5 or 4* in any areas. For my dates (starting May 8th), I can book the Best Western Caribe for $98 if worse comes to worse.... but for slightly more money I would prefer a nicer place. The bidding strategy I have used so far: - Use link from this site - Bid for St Thomas resorts - Add free rebid at St Croix (they have no resorts) So far I have gone up to $110, which is higher than the price people had previously gotten the Marriott. Hotwire shows 3.5* at $159, 3* at $179, and 4* at $297. Any suggestions to strategy changes? I am willing to do 3* if it is a good 3*... but if it is similar quality to Best Western (2*), I'd rather just keep the cheaper, refundable (if 72 hours in advance) rate. Thanks!
