  2. Seeing a Priceline Express deal for August 22-24. 2.5* $47 per night. Guest score 7.0 or higher. Hotel includes: Free Breakfast Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Parking Business Center Fitness Center Guessing a Fairfield but want to avoid the Orlando Vista, some of the ones closer to Kissimmee (but still in the DTD/LBV) zone. Thanks in advance.
  3. Not sure about that time of year, what kind of strategy is needed; if hotels are available, give it a go for best deal. Can tell you from experience, gotten the Holiday Inn LBV Resort (former Sunspree, Vineland) on a back-to-back stay last October. Bids around $45. One thing to note in this area, resort/parking fees can add up. And if you're willing to go up to $90 you could try a 4* bid first, maybe snag a Gaylord or DTD Hilton if you work it right. Hope that helps.
  4. It's fine. Just surprised I had to bid so much, then when you add the parking $$.. it's less a 'deal.' I'm sure I'll have a good time, thanks.
  5. Got a good location with this older hotel. It's a Saturday night stay which bumps the price, but a little disappointed that my 'win' wasn't that much lower than the published rack rates. Better luck next time I guess. Posted via link.
  6. 3.5* Hotel ID, Historic Charleston Trying to get into the Historic District (guesses for Marriott, it's a little further out). This is actually more, $127 a night for 3 nights (Nov. 17-20) but w/ breakfast and Internet. Nervous about 75% approval rating as well. TIA. Amenities: Boutique Hotel Business Center Free Breakfast Free Internet
  7. Read messages, thanks. I've been through other IDs and it was the 80% that was throwing me off from other 4* wins. The Marriott is probably a good guess, appreciate the help. Will use link/post win if I get one.
  8. Lurker, first time poster. Thinking of trying Hotwire for first time w/ this listing since it's a little cheaper than my unsuccessful PL bidding has been: Nov. 17-20, 4* Downtown Historic Charlestons. Hotwire offer is $113/night. Hotel is 80% approval.
