UPDATE Ended up bidding on a 2* Dorval at $41 and was rejected. Included Pointe Claire and increased to $51 (no free re-bids) and ws accepted ($67 USD will taxes and service charge). Quality Suites Montreal West, excellent for me as less than 15 minutes from Dorval and I will be driving. :)

This thread should actually be in the Hotwire section. Just ran across a new hotel today for teh same date: Fitness Restaurant High Speed Access Pool Laundry Golf nearby 2.5 star $81 per night. Any idea what hotel this could be?

UPDATE - I have now booked the Hilton Garden Inn instead at $115 per night on another deal I saw on travelzoo. It is rated #9 I believe on Tripadvisor. Hope that can help someone.

If the hotel on Hotwire is either Burnham or Monaco, the one extra night on the 16th would be $269, certainly offsets the savings from the other previous 4 nights unless one does not mind to dragging the suitcases out to another hotel which can be a real waste of valuable time. Would appreciate knowing if it could be other hotels.

I have just ran across what I think is a pretty good deal and booked it. I can always cancel if I find a better deal. Hyatt Regency Chicago for $139/nite thru Travelzoo.

:) I would have prefered 4 Aug to 11 Aug but that doesn't look like its going to happen because the hotel prices are too high. I would have booked the Best Western Grant Park but its sold out. So a this time, I am planning 11 Aug to 16 instead as the hotels seem to be a little more afordable. On my first post, I ran into what appears to be a good deal for a 4* in the loop and I was trying to figure out what the hotel might be. I was surprised a 4* does not have internet access. I liked the complimentary breakfast at Best Western. In any event, I like to stay close to public transport for sure and close to the action, I am not sure what the best place would be in Chicago :) . Thanks.

Sorry about that. The dates are 16 Dec 2005, 1 night only. Also, the price for the 2.5 STAR is $81. My contingency plan at this time is Hotel Milano for $135 for the night.

As a follow up, booked the Sheraton Suites through airmiles for 875 airmiles.

I tried Priceline through the link. Tried $46, then $51, the $57 and all refused. I was hoping to get the Marriott but now that I am only a couple dollars away from Hotwire ***, I am thinking just going with the Holiday Inn "sure thing" anyone have any other thoughts?
