  1. Bid up to $76 - no dice. Express deal @ $86. Customer rating 7/10. Thought I was getting Chateau Lacombe but this is actually a better deal!
  2. Express deal available @ $86. Free re-bid up to $76, no dice. $77 did it.
  3. Bid up to $137 with no luck. Free re-bid @ $139 did the trick. Total cost (all in) = $329.17 Best direct retail prepaid rate is $231.20/nt... 2 nights (all in) = $523.76, with the only extra benefit of Starwood points Tidy 37% savings.... well worth the lack of points! Cheers, Steve
  4. Had targeted Westin Kierland but was not paying attention and thus added the Fort McDowell zone by accident. Ended up with this property for an OK deal which actually looks reasonably nice.
  5. Bid up to $74 for 3.5* with no luck. At $76 got 'upgraded' to the ARC (a 4* on PL). Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: US$76.00 Subtotal: US$152.00 Taxes & Fees: US$29.70 Total Charges: US$181.70
  6. Thanks for the quick reply. Just booked this, used the HOTWIRE link, got the Delta Centre-Ville. Was targeting Delta Montreal, however this is close enough (~1km walk).
  7. Ran the search again today... Aug 12-15, 2010 Montreal, Canada 3.5* $99/Night Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Laundry, Internet, Spa, Kids Activity Program Possibly the Delta Montreal??
  8. I agree - its not there anymore. Maybe I entered the wrong date by accident. Will check again in a few weeks. Much Thanks!
  9. Ooops... I see from the thread below that the rating has nothing to do with tripadvisor and thus cannoot be used to cross-reference. HOTWIRE FAQ Therefore the hotel is probably the Delta Montreal. Any thoughts?
  10. 3.5* Downtown Montreal, Canada 12/Aug/2010 - 15/Aug/2010 $96/Night Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Laundry, Internet, Spa, Children's Program Tripadvisor: 80%, 400+ Total Reviews Based on the amenities, I am thinking Delta Montreal. However, on tripadvisor, the Delta Montreal has only 260 reviews with 75% recommended. How relilable is the Tripadvisor rating on Hotwire in determining the hotel? Any help much appreciated! Much Thanks, Steve
  11. Just came from that area last week. Here's what I recommend... Bid the "San Antonio West" zone for a "Resort" quality hotel @ $62 a night. You'll most likely get the Radisson Hill County (really nice, we just stayed there). Very kid friendly. Nice pool. The have marshmellow roasts at night which it a big hit with the families. Or, you might get the Hyatt (even nicer hotel, although I never stayed there). If unsuccessful, add other zones one by one, and with reach re-bid, up your offer by $5. This is called free re-bidding. The other zones don't have "Resort" hotels, so you're guaranteed one of these two. Both are right next to Sea World. Da Riverwalk is about 15 mins by car. I recommend taking the family by car to the Riverwalk, do the walk, go on the boat tour (about 1hr), see the Alamo (right next to riverwalk). Then drive back to your hotel in the suburbs. There is a great Texas style BBQ joint, "Rudys", right across from The Radisson Hill county. Very family friendly and reasonably priced. Have a great trip and feel free to msg me if you have any quesetions. Cheers, Steve
