Hotel Baudelaire Bastille NOT in the Opera area. This one is in the Republique. Best Western Astra Opera IS in the Opera area. Hotel Royal Opera MAY be considered in the Opera area but Expedia lists it in the Champs Elysees. Hotel Delavigne NOT in the OPera area. This is in the Latin Qtr. Hotel Waldorf Trocadero NOT in the Opera area.

I think i just answered by own question by going to Tripadvisor and reviewing the current scores for both hotels. This appears to be the Swissotel for sure seeing that they are 4* out of 5 and have over 260 where InterContinental is only 3.5 and is under 260 reviews.

Started at $40 for a 4*, was rejected. Re-bidded adding 3*, $45 and was offered to increase my price by $22.00. Closed the browser and started over by adding re-bid zone Taylor/Southgate with DTW for $50 and was accepted.

I MEANT "Vegas strip SOUTH" not north in the heading/title. Sorry for confusion. Tried endlessly to get a 5* (either Palazzo, Venetian or Mandalay Bay) but didn't want to bid over $175 a night. So I opted down for the 4* hotels. I tried to target the Treasure Island because I think its location on the strip is perfect but I kept getting rejected while at the same time asking to increase my bid to $155. Had i dont this, I assume I would have been successful with the Treasure Island as its the only 4* listed in the "North" strip section. I decided to go for the South Strip to hopefully score the MGM, Planet Hollywood or Monte Carlo but instead got the WESTIN CASUARINA. I've stayed at the Westin before and really enjoyed my stay. Quiet hotel, non-busy Casino, perfect 5$ tables and comfortable, dependable Westin heavenly appointments in the room. All in all, I think this is a good deal for Memorial Day weekend. Happy Bidding!

Searched Hotwire for 1 night Sat, July 29 and a 4-star comes up as first option on Mag Mile - Wacker, $242, with emenities listed: Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Spa Services The "Laundry Facilities" is really throwing me off b/c none of the pinned Hotwire 4-stars list such. I'm hoping this is the Conrad Hilton (formerly Le Meridien). But I think it may also be the Hyatt or Hotel 71 disguised. Any guesses??

Wanted to stay at this specific hotel. Used priceline and selected Auburn Hills/Pontiac 3 star category and entered $50 as my first bid and it was accepted. All other sites, including Marriott, are listing prices over $100 for this night. Very satisfied! My bad. After adding 3 star for N. Mich Ave and having no luck, tried also rebid zone with Skokie for 3 star and priced up to $175, still nothing. Then added Millenium Park zone while dropping bid back down to $150. Finally something. I hope it's not as bad as some people have made it out to be. :)

Needed two rooms for the NPE Convention week of June 19. Tried first 4* for N. Mich Ave for $150, added re-bid zone Skokie $200, no luck. Added Boutique, no luck. Added 3*upscale while lowering back to $150 and received the Club QUarters at Wacker. 2 rooms. I've never stayed here and have read the shady reviews mostly re: size of rooms/beds. But location is good, and the hotel on every other web site including their own is going for $250.
