  1. Only 10 days to my travel date and I'm travelling to such an expensive city (SF)

Thanks to the strategies provided on this forum, got 4* at $180 before tax, it was listed $299 on expedia, and when I check the listed price 3 days later, it went to more than $400 (crazy!)

Although there are some negative reviews about this hotel on tripadvisor, I guess it's not a bad option given the time and location

    Here's how I went through:

First-timer in SF, aimed at Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square area and Financial District

Started from $150 for a 4* (because on the weekends the Hilton has a listed price of $104... but weekdays were like 300-500)

Used all 6 free re-biz zones and have no success till $170, very disappointed as I usually can get something around $150 on the East coast

Then used the PRICELINE link on this forum to started second round of bidding and got a win at $180, the Prescott

Actually I haven't been on this website for more than 4 years, took me quite sometime to retrieve the password, but I got to share this experience

    Good luck everybody!

  2. Used your PRICELINE links to book for Canadian thanksgiving long weekend, so I know it's going to be a little tough. First placed a bid of $100, denied. No price suggestion were given. I kept trying $115, $120 and $125 with added zones of Laval, Longueil and Point-Clare and finally got Omni, although I was hoping for Sheraton.

Thanks for the information on this discussion board.
