  1. Priceline now seems to allow 24 hour rebid, tried downtown for $75, then airport, for $66. Rejected.

Rebid again in 24 hour, noticed same hotel was on hotwire for $79 then gone in few hours, so very surprised to get it with Priceline for $70. Saved $10 per night.

Parking is $10, but plan to find street parking. (Any one know about street parking near by?)

    Marriott Vancouver Airport

    Vancouver Int'l Airport

    7571 Westminster Highway

    Richmond, British Columbia V6X 1A3

    Subtotal: US$140.00

    Taxes & Service Fees: US$30.01

    Total Charges: US$170.01

Okay deal considering most 2* hotels on Experdia are $80 and above.

  2. VERY Tough bidding process, was able to get cars in Oak for $12 - $14 easily with Avis (brand new cars with 10 miles too)

The tax is also crazy that flutuate between $28 to $44, don't know why.

Finally got this okay deal compare to hotwire rate.

    Your Offer Price: $17.00

    Total Rental Days: 5

    Subtotal: $85.00

    Taxes & Fees: $40.78

    Total Charges: $125.78

  3. Stayed at Bester Western Lake Side over Thanksgiving

    Good

    - Location is fantastic, very close to Disney (off Disney wise that is)

    - Room is clean and has most stuff for 2*

    - Make sure you get first floor rooms, so you can park right outside (second floor is a pain)

    - Good shuttle schedule (stop at all 4 Disney, US and Seaworld). If you think the schedule is too late for MGM/Epcot, just go to the earliest one (Animal Kingdom) and ride Disney shuttle to others.

    - Has fridge in room and 25" TV

    Bad

    - Too many broken stuff in room, lights don't work

    - My bedsheet feels moist, maybe it's the weather or AC

    - Aggressive tipping on shuttle (big sign asks you to tip the driver)

Over all, great place to stay for Disney visits. Hwy 192 is excellent for food (better than I-Drive). You can get great values on meals at Ponderosa, most Chinese buffets, among others. Sizzlers has $3.99 breakfast buffet with 50 cents off coupon (how do they make money?) I recommend get full before and after you enter Disney park and eat little inside. If you eat inside Disney, turkey legs, place at Animal Kingdom (Africa) and Epcot country eatery are good values.

Almost every resturant has 10% off coupon (all buffets do), just look for small coupons books outside gift stores.

Lastly, save your Disney shopping at local Walmart, they have almost same stuff at 50% saving.

  4. Stayed at Clarion recently and have these to share:

    - Bid and won $30 a night around Thanksgiving time (plus tax)

    - Hotel has small parking lot but no trouble find a spot, need to walk a bit.

    - Has shuttle service to US, Seaworld

    - Do not use the computer in room, charges $9.99 a night without any warning or notice. After I pointed it out, they said they can charge a flat fee of $9.99 for the entire stay, but I declined (have own laptop), they removed the charge. Just unplug and hook the ethernet cable to your laptop.

    - Has 2 hot spas with different temps

    - Small microwave and fridge in room

    - Excellent location to US, wet n' wild, US feels almost walking distance (across highway 4)

    - Do not stay here if you want to visit Disney, too far and food choice not as great as 192 (I recommend stay at 192 if visting Disney)

    - Over all stay is pleasant.

    I-Ride Trolley: http://www.iridetrolley.com/index.html (doesn't come that often)

  5. Hope my recent bids will help people out in next 2 month.

Tried $25 for 2.5*, rejected, got 2* at $25 on the second try.

I see the same hotel on Hotwire for $29 to $31, but it charges a $3.5 or $6.5 resort fee, is this common for all FL hotels who offer shuttle to amusement parks? It's not too bad since the parking is $8.

    Kissimmee, Florida 34747

    407-396-2222

    $43.52 tax for 5 days

I am happy with price but I was hoping for Amerisuites or Extended stay America with kitchen though and free breakfast (will pay extra for it but none came up)

  6. People frequently got this for sub $30, $34-$36, I tried $35 one week before, didn't get at $35 nor $40, tried one night before, got at $40.

If you can't get this first try, try Lake Union zone.

I see this hotel is right next to highway 5, will review later.

  7. Hi:

I didn't know why all the downtown hotels are booked solid during that weekend, then found out it's Canada's Superbowl (Grey Cup).

Should I give up on bidding a 4* in downtown for $70-$80?

Or would hotels will release rooms when they are not full. If so, when? Thanks.

Can someone recommend some decent hotel in YVR airport area? They are the only ones open seems like.
