Dates of win are 8/10/08 - 08/17/08

After many tries finally got this at $55. Previous years have gotten the Marriott Courtyard at $35 but this year all prices have gone up and it seems that the Courtyard has no inventory. I hope that this place is adequate for a week at the Opera! We will have to drive to the Courtyard to get picked up by the Opera shuttle but it's not far. The rack rate seems to be app $170! Does anyone know if small refrigerators are available upon request? The Marriott comes equipped with them.

I was at Lincoln Center two weeks ago and the Empire Hotel building was a mess, as it has been for the past few years. If being right across from Lincoln Center doesn't mean that much to you, don't bid on this hotel. And, I agree, that the prices for all the hotels on your post seem too high. Try again or use Priceline. You can always get the MTE Intercontinental for a good price or even the Hilton on 6th ave. for app. $130. I booked the Helmsley Park Lane directly on their website for $265 for a Park view room as a cancellable backup. A beautiful hotel.

The amenity icons were Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Centre, Hi Speed Internet & Business Center. I guessed that if it had had a Spa icon it would have been the Sheraton, the hotel I really wanted, but the Hilton is almost as perfect a location. Also Customer Favorite and Best Value.

I couldn't get any answers to my past question on what this listing was but someone after me got the Hilton for the only 4* listing on Hotwire for these dates. Anyway, I guessed that it would not be the Sheraton because there was no Spa icon. A friend has stayed at this Hilton many times and said it was pretty good. Both the Sheraton and the Hilton are next to (or across from) the new Opera House, due to be finished in time for the 9/12/06 opening with Wagner's "Ring". We have tickets and now we have a place to stay. A great deal, since the website price was above $300 a nite! We took the insurance ($29) just in case. Thanks for all your info. J.A.

I'm trying to get the Sheraton & no other. Amenities listed: Restaurant, Fitness Center, Business Center, Pool, High-speed internet (may be a charge). "upscale establishment" appears in description as well as being labeled Customer Favorite and Best Value. Wyndham, Hilton & Westin appear as a possible in the category. Do you think that this is the Sheraton or is it the Hilton or Westin?? Need to know. Thanks. This is my first post.
