  1. Won on my first bid. $73/night x 2 nights ($180 incl all taxes). Retail rates were near 2x as much so very happy with the booking.
  2. Won this one several weeks ago. Excellent value since the retail rate for over $220/night when last I looked. 3 nights x $65/nt bid = $230 all-in as always used the BB PRICELINE link prior to the win.
  3. Great win during the peak Saturday during 2nd weekend of Jazzfest. Pumped about this one - $75 ($94 all-in)!!! Best retail rate for the Marriott was $297. Have been stalking HOTWIRE and PRICELINE for weeks bidding almost everyday starting at $75 and bidding up to $120 using free re-bids. Much as I suspected unsold inventory was released last minute as Jazzfest prices always start at insane levels (think minimum $300 for a 4-star). This was actually a 3.5 Star FQ bid that PRICELINE upgraded to 4-star. Bid 4-star last night and no win even though bid up to $120. So the inventory just was released! Used BetterBidding PRICELINE links as always prior to the win.
  4. 4 nights for $167/nt bid = ~$740 US all-in. A bit perplexed by this one as I didn't see any reports of this hotel on the "Priceline" list. Shows about $240/night US on Kayak for this place. Priceline had a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for same zone at $175/night. Trip Advisor reviews are decent, but this is pretty much a let down. Was hoping for the Westin or Melia.
  5. Pretty happy with this one considering had to do a Saturday check-out which seemed to limit inventory. $130~/night all-in Retail rates were in the $280US range/ night.
  6. I was looking for a five-star hotel in the Mayfair Piccadilly Circus Soho or Chelsea-Knightsbridge areas, and I was trying to avoid the Le Meridien Piccadilly. Retail rates on this hotel are $450+ US/ night - vs. the $221 incl all taxes rate from Priceline so quite happy! Hotwire showed 5-stars in both zones in the low $200-s which with all the taxes were still $750 total for 3 nights - so around $100 saving by using Priceline. The process to win this hotel took several weeks worth of rebids before this hit - overall patience pays off. Best of luck everyone!
  7. Won on 1st bid (perhaps should have have started low) but very happy. Best Hyatt.com rate was $179/nt. $74 bid $91 total w/ tx+fee
  8. Saw recent bids and those gave me an idea. ~$65 w/ tax and fees. Started at around $40 and used free re-bids until it hit. Would have much preferred the Hyatt Regency since attached directly to the airport, but alas still a good deal.
