  1. Sorry for the extreme delay in response to the parking question. I had no problems accessing the garage at midnight or 6:00am. I can't say with complete certainty that it is 24 hours, though. There were a couple of times that I didn't have to even pay the $2 when there wasn't an attendant. Sometimes the gate was already up, and sometimes it would automatically rise when we pulled up to it, so we drove on.
  2. Wanted 4* hotel in Buckhead area only. All added on areas below are 3* or below. Bidding strategy: Declined at $45 for Buckhead (gotta start with a lowball, right?) Added Atlanta West - Six Flags, declined at $48 Added Decatur - Northlake, declined at $50 Added Forest Park - Riverdale, declined at $52 Added Jonesboro, declined at $54 Added Kennesaw , declined at $56 Added Lithonia, declined at $58 Added Morrow, declined at $60 Added Norcross, declined at $61 Added North Central, declined at $62 Added Smyrna, declined at $63 Added Stockbridge, declined at $64 Added Stone Mountain, declined at $65 Added Union City, ACCEPTED at $66 With taxes and fees, it was about $78 TOTAL per night. Hotel website starting around $200/night this weekend. Hotel was amazing. Had corner room with wraparound floor-to-ceiling windows, marble baths with full soaker tub and stand-up shower. Lots of toiletries and other freebies, turn-down service where the maids turn TV on relaxing music station, fill bucket with ice, provide card with tomorrow's weather, chocolates, and FRESH orchids in room. No pretension from staff here, just great service, no problems with PL reservation. MARTA station is two blocks away, as are about a dozen (upscale) restaurants. Bistro in Lobby is wonderful, but not inexpensive. Hotel parking is about $15/night, but you can park behind the hotel at the Atlanta Financial Center on the weekends for very little money--just $2 to get out, so only $2 all weekend if you leave your car there.
  3. PPS--Is there a link or service from this website where I book straight from here in order to give you guys some sort of credit? Thanks again.
  4. My wife and I are travelling to Las Vegas, NV, from Dec. 10 - Dec. 13. We are looking for a nice hotel (4.0+ stars) at a decent price, willing to spend up to $150/night, but we would prefer to spend that money once we get there. We rarely use the special services of hotels besides fitness center and restaurant, so spas, tennis, and business centers don't matter. It looks like The Venetian is $226 on Hotwire right now, and other Strip 4 stars are in the $100-$130 range. Can someone provide a PL bidding strategy to see if I can get something better? Thanks for your help. PS--Any recommendations once we get there? Thanks again.
