This was about $25 cheaper than the next category up (3.5 stars) for those dates. It's possible this location could have gone for less, but probably not a whole lot less.
mid-level Sheraton; great for the price
I can't complain about the rate I got, or the hotel itself. As others have pointed out, the hotel is very nice however... it is not a 4-star property (listed as such on Priceline). Although nothing was out of place or wrong, the difference between a 3-1/2 and 4 are the little things: no bathroom robes, decent but not great toiletries, not enough to make you feel pampered.
$117 + 31.76 fees = 148.76 total for 1 night (Friday 14 Sep 2012)
Marriott Brooklyn Bridge is now listed as a 4-star property;

Does anyone have any suggestions for me regarding a room that is already booked and paid for?
My night in NYC was suddenly cancelled the day after I booked my room on Priceline for August 23 (Thursday night). Of course I know that it's non-refundable, however I hate to see a valuable hotel room in a 4-star hotel (Sheraton New York) go to waste. I'll be in NYC during the day, so I can sign another person in, so that part is not a problem. I'm not looking to make any money from this--at best just cut my losses, or at worst find some worthy soul to give it to. Is there any place or method in which to do so?
Thanks in advance.
Price does not include taxes and fees (additional $35.06 = total $167.06)
I was a little rushed in bidding on this, and I think I may have gotten a slightly better price if I was more organized.

Girlfriend thought it was on the slightly skeevy side, but it was OK for the money. Two stars is about right. Don't go with a lot of luggage (full flight of stairs just to get to the lobby) or expect any amenities. It is wonderfully close to the subway (103 & Broadway).
BTW, the full cost was $106 plus another $37 in taxes/fees. Normal for NYC and PRICELINE...

Does not include the $28 hotel fee or taxes, so the rate is really $130 per night.
