Initial bid 4* Hollywood $90, rejected Received reconsideration note for $108 Waited 24 hrs and re-bid for $100 and won for the Crowne Plaza, but was hoping for the Westin Diplomat :(. Nice hotel anyway.

I am going the same weekend and bidding on the same area. No luck on my side either, but I only went up to $150. There are 4 of us so I am trying to make up my mind on the risk of getting a King bed and getting stuck with it.

Going to Chicago for a girl's weekend and I am trying to book through priceline and have had no luck bidding from $97 to $115 in North Michigan Ave or Millenium Park. What are more realistic bids for 4* ? What is the best suggestion for a quad occupancy? Can I aim for the same price on separate days and keep trying? Is it realistic to try every 24 hours and keep the same price?

Have you tried the re-bidding stratgy with a zone that doea not have 4*? i am trying the same thing for NMA and have been rejected so far for September. Let us know once something is booked!

I have read about Hotwire and the ability to select the quad occupancy, but I am tempted by the success I have had with priceline and the hotel deals I have had in the past. Its a personal goal to get a 4* in Chicago for under $150. I was just concerned about the fact that all my bids were rejected and wondered if it was way too low for the bid to be realistic. I was thinking of calling the hotel to request the 2 beds, after winning a bid. I am also wondering about the waiting time before re-bidding (24 hrs?). Should I wait and then re-bid the same price and try this every day until someone takes it?
