  1. Thanks for the great advice. I put in further combinations and bit up to 78USD and still no luck. Will just wait it out. Is it just me or is Boston super expensive??
  2. So I just tried it Selected Beacon Hill, Boston Common, Financial District, Harbourfront Start at 50 USD rejected Add Brigton to 55USD rejected Add Sth Boston to 60 rejected Add Nth Cambridge to 65 rejected Add Medford to 68 rejected Add Fenway park to 70 rejected So I guess now I should either increase my budget or wait? Thoughts?? Thanks As always I used the priceline and HOTWIRE links!
  3. If I get a cheap hotel then paying for parking is not a big deal. Whats the best tactic to get a 4* hotel for under $80 in Phoenix? Thanks
  4. Hi Thanks for your reply. When I said Vdars I meant Aria. Apologies. And no we wouldn't really consider that. The places I wanted were bellagio wynns palazzo Venetian mandarin four seasons Is.aria considered 5* and in the same Priceline zone as the others above? Thanks
  5. Ok great. Well the most we would be willing to pay is 90 per room per night. What's the best strategy? Thanks
  6. The maximum we would pay is 100usd a night. The aim is to have the least expensive 4* or better in the location. Are there any resorts in San Diego?
  7. I understand the concept of rebid zones but what exactly are they for Boston? Given I'm staying in Jan should I book now or wait and book closed to the date? Thanks.
  8. 70USD/per night. Does that sound reasonable? Thanks
  9. I am looking for a room in the GC from 1/3/13 to 1/4/13. Is there any use in bidding in small towns like Flaggstaff or Tusayan? Thanks
  10. Hi all, Looking for a 1 room in Phoenix on 4th Jan 2013. Hoping for 4* in Downtown, North Scottsdale or Scottsdale. Maybe $80US a night. Will any of the hotels have free parking? Thanks for your help.
  11. By the way we have a room booked at BEST WESTERN PLUS Island Palms Hotel & Marina for $171 USD. Thanks
  12. Hi, I need a room in Boston for 3 nights from 5th Jan to 8th Jan 2013 3.5* in Beacon Hill, Boston Common, Financial District, Harbourfront. Just one room. Any advice? And was always using your links to click through. Thanks a lot guys!
  13. Hi, I am hoping for a 5* LV experience on our US road trip. So I am booked din for the Trump on 30th and 31st Dec 2012. The rate I got through Expedia was 183USD a night. Total rip off but I guess thats NYE in Vegas huh? This is non refundable. And I posted earlier here and the advice was that bidding was unlikely to help at this tome of year. Anyway we are staying in Vegas until the 3rd. The prices at all the 5* strip hotels drop off on 1 and 2 Jan. I have booked a refundable Bellagio room for 208USD/night for 1st and 2nd. I need two rooms. one king and one twin. I only want a 5* hotel on the Strip. Like Wynns or Bellagio. It is actually quite important that it is a "popular" hotel as my mum has her heart set on one of those. So I guess my questions are: 1) Is it worth bidding? Am I likely to get a cheaper rate? 2) Will the price difference be worth the risk of ending up with something like Vdara? 3) Is my Bellagio rate good? 4) If it is worth Bidding what is my best strategy? Thank so much guys for your help. And as always I am clicking on those links :-)
  14. Hi, Again new to the board but coming to the US for Xmas and am travelling around Cali. I need a room in SD from 5th january 2013 to 10th Jan 2013 4* or 5*. One king room. Was hoping for free parking and wifi. The areas I was hoping for were Coronado and Downtown SD and Harbor Island. What is my best bidding strategy? Thanks for your help! And I have clicked on the links to Priceline form your site :-)
  15. Hi, I would like some bidding help please. I am going to be in LA from 27th Dec to 30th Dec. 3 nights. AS a tourist. I need two rooms one with a king and one twin. I was hoping for a 4* hotel. In either Hollywood, Bev Hills or Downtown. in that order. I also wanted parking and wifi. Is it possible to get a deal with the restrictions of free parking, wifi and two rooms? If so what is my best bidding strategy? I have never bid on Priceline so any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
  16. Thanks for your reply. We are thinking 12/30, 12/31 and 1/1 nights. Budget about 200-220USD/night Thanks
  17. The Amenities for the 5* North Strip are: Spa Services Resort Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Kitchenette Free Parking Looking closer it seems Trump is the only one which never has casino mentioned. And this would make sense given trump is around the same price on Expedia. Mystery hotel on hotwire is $23USD cheaper. And Wynss isfar far far more expensive! Anyway thanks again.
  18. Hi, Im new to the forum so please bear with me :-) We are coming to the West Coast and LV for Xmas and NY from New Zealand. We want to stay in a nice place on the strip. Preferably Bellagio, Wynns etc. A 5* place. But these are very expensive given the time of year and also our dollar. So I stumbled upon your site which is great but somewhat confusing. First looking at Hotwire (used your link of course :-) They have a 5 * secret deal in The Strip - North area. Facilities include resort, golf nearby and tennis nearby. So 5* hotels (from your list ) are Wynn, Encore, palazzo venetian and trump tower. Are these all good hotels? And from my reading, Trump does not have a resort. So if it says resort as an amenity then Trump is ruled out? To me this seems like a good deal for any of those hotels. $158USD oer night. Is it? I mean the current rate on Wynn site is $300+USD Is it likely to be any other hotels? Also should I try Priceline? Am I likely to get a better deal by bidding? And lastly, do you know if Hotwire charges in the local currency or all of it is charged in USD? Thanks so much guys. Really appreciate it.
