I tried naming my own price but failed twice. Not a whole lot of rebidding in these zones. I just wanted to get something booked and I had a 10% off code for PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals so I went for it. Listed price was $50/night, but I paid $45/night + taxes with the code. Room is $82/night elsewhere, so I am more than pleased! Amenities were: Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Business center Indoor or outdoor pool Fitness center Non smoking

This one was not on the hotel list, so it must be a new addition. The Holiday Inn (the 3* property listed in this zone) rate was $113/nt, so I opened with a bid of $65 and it was accepted right away. After I won with that bid, I looked and saw that there is a 3* express deal for $65 and from the amenities & rating, it appears to be this same property (Country Inn). If I had done a little more research I might have won with a lower bid. But I still saved money, so I can't complain too much. :) Reviews for the Country Inn & Suites are good, so we should have a fine stay. I like that they have free breakfast! And all of their rooms are more than double occupancy, so I don't have to call the hotel to make sure I get a room big enough for my family.

Location was flexible. Started with Vanderbilt 2.5* $75 Added Green Hills $80 Added Franklin $85 Added Cool Springs $90 and got the win. PL has it listed at $111 on sale so I'm happy to save a little bit. :) Looks like a beautiful property.

I kept trying, going all the way up to $65 only to have my bids rejected. I finally took the express deal for $67 for a 3* and got the Wyndham Garden, which is the hotel I was hoping for anyway! So it all worked out. Just had hoped for a lower price, but it's still $20 off the lowest price on their site so that's good.

Wyndham Garden, which I thought was listed as a 3.5 in the hotel list here, but I failed to check it's rating on PRICELINE directly. Hmm....may have to revise my strategy. I think this property was previously listed as a 3.5 when it was a Best Western, maybe that's where I getting that idea from.

I'm looking for a 3.5 * or higher for one night 4/23. In the past, I've won a 3.5* in this area for $43. Tonight I started at $45 and went all the way up to $68 with 6 rebids (adding zones without 3.5 or 4* properties) and still didn't win. The Wyndham (3.5) is offering "best rate" of $105 that night or $89 if you pay now. I'm only $20 off that price and still nothing! Any ideas?

This was a "Hot Rate." Was not expecting this hotel as Priceline has it listed as a 2.5 star, but Hotwire has it as a 3 star. Had bid on Priceline up to $45 and did not win. Nonetheless, the rate on both sites was $109/nt, so you can't beat the price! Read some reviews on Trip Advisor and it sounds like a great property. This property was not on the list, was surprised to win it on my first bid. It will still suit our needs just fine, though. No biggie.

Lowest price on their site is $80, so this win makes me happy. :)

Started at $40 for a 3*, denied. Bid again adding Elmhurst as a zone (no 3* in this zone) and upped price to $43. Accepted. Of course I went through the PRICELINE link on this page. :)

All I needed was a place to sleep for one night on our way through town. We were open to location--Fenton/Kirkwood or Downtown seemed to work best for us. I checked prices and all Fenton/Kirkwood hotels were around $99 for our date. I started with a $42 bid for 2.5* in Fenton/Kirkwood. Was rejected and got a $53 counter offer. Added Downtown location and increased bid to $45 and it was accepted! Priceline upgraded us to a 3* even though I didn't click it. Used code SUMMER to save another 5% for a total of $57.36. Of course I placed my bid through the links here. :) I have used Better Bidding now for hotel rooms for five trips in five different cities and I've always been very pleased with my results. Thank you!

Started at $25 for a 2* Increased to $27 and added 1* Increased to $29 and added another zone (Hendersonville, which has no 1 or 2* properties listed) SUCCESS! Online rate was $55, so it's a nice savings! And of course I bid using the PRICELINE link.

Started at $70 and kept going up in $5 increments by adding new zones that didn't have 4*. Once I got to $95 and was rejected, I decided to go in smaller increments and BOOM $98 was the winner! And of course I started my bid via the PRICELINE link!

Finally successful. $98/nt at the Westin

Changed my itinerary to 9/13 to 9/15, bid up to $98 and still not accepted. :( I'll keep trying, through your PRICELINE link of course. Next time I may add 3.5* too.

Thanks for the info. I just got our conference itinerary and we might be able to come in on 9/13 instead anyway. This could work! :) Our company has rooms at the Hyatt Regency for $179 so I definitely want to do better than that!

Even using the 11 re-bid zones and going up to $102, still rejected!!! Any other ideas? I was hoping to pay less, of course...

We are spending time with family in another part of Florida, but are flying in and out of MCO plus doing one day at Universal. We just needed a place to lay our heads before flying out the next day. 1st bid--4*, Universal, $35--rejected 2nd bid--3*, Universal, $38--rejected 3rd bid--same as above, added MCO--rejected 4th bid--added 2.5*, $40--WIN! The more recent reviews of this property on TripAdvisor sound really good. And of course I placed my bid through your PRICELINE link! ~ deb
