TIVI, you can take comfort with complementary wired internet access at Berverly Heritage, wileless at the lobby. I've been offered a "suite" only once as an apologestic gesture when the reservation was messed up. It is not bigger than a regular room with the bathroom as the partition between bedroom and living room. BH has executive suites near the elevator, but it is probably out of reach of Priceliners. You do have choices of one king or 2 queens with regular rooms.

I have been lucky to be accepted by Country Inn. I got to know every one at the front desk and breakfast room. Thec sariest part is when the owner, who occasionally serves coffee and collects plates at the breakfast, padded me on the shoulder and said "you are one of us". That's an incredible deal. He came in today and bragged about being upgraded into a Garden Suite. (Why not me?) I've spent months converting him into a Priceliner, and I've been trying to make hime a BetterBidder. But he reminded me of a chapter from his Navy book, "loose lips, sink ships".

The studio suite was nice. The hot breakfast appear to be an afterthought, the buffet station is poorly arranged and the dining room was crowded. This is the 2nd time priceline sending me to the Salmo Creek area, Red Lion about 6 months ago. I am satisfied with both places. Since it is less than 10 miles away, this area can be an alternative to the PDX airport if I have a car. Since Vancouver is a Portland suburb, I wonder if it more appropriate to post this in the Oregon board? I wish Priceline list Vancouver as a zone in Portland!

This place turned out to be below my low expectation. In addition to motivating us to do more sight seeing, it also motivated us to move on to the next town one night early. For almost the same price, we stayed at Residence Inn in Vacouver, WA. We have learned a lesson not to bid for a 1* without knwing all available choices.

Our flight was 2 hours late arriving at PDX, we were worrying that we might miss the last MAX light rail. We caught the 1130 pm train and it dropped us almost at the front door of DoubleTree. The "Priceline room" was nicely appointed (6 pillows on a queen bed) albeit small. Since it is withing the "Downtown Free-ride zone", we took the MAX and toured the downtown before returning to the hotel for Checkout at 1115 am. We had to wait till noon for the car rental weekend rate. I wouldn't mind to stay at this place again for a PDX overnight. Story may be different if we were driving into Portland.

One consolation, I won't have to pay $5 for the 3 letters (the first letter is always "d") monthly Wi-Fi password since I have bought it this month.

I basically agree with Colfax. Short of a 1.5* rating, I wish all ESA and Homestead wererated 1* but ExtDeluxe can be rated 2*. This way I can decide if I want to pay extra for ExtDeluxe without being taken into ESA/Homestead. Besides Fremont-Neward and South San Jose zones, there are also a pair of ExtDeluxe and Homestead not too far apart near San Jose Airport. Most of ExtDeluxe rooms are as good as Residence Inn 5 years ago but no daily service.
