was trying PRICELINE, bidded up to 48 for 3.5 in for the park central without success. went the HOTWIRE route and got this hotel.

this wyndham is the old crowne plaza park central dallas on 7800 alpha rd, dallas.

It was a same-day check-in bidding. started from 3.5* at $30, got the Westin. Apparently there was an Model & Talent Expo going on in that vicinity. My regular Crowne Plaza was fully booked for that weekend. One thing to be aware about this Westin, only ONE complimentary bottled water is included with the rate, the other bottle is not. I didn't read the hanging tag on the bottle, they ended up costing me $4/bottle.

A reminder: the hotel charges parking on their property, to avoid this, just drive one street over (Wake Forest St.), parking is free. Make sure not parking on restricted area, etc. Hope this helps.

Original plan was to stay 11/9/2011 to 11/12/2011. Bidded up to $125 in Downtown-Convention Center without success. Tried 11/9 to 11/11, got it at $52. For 11/11 to 11/12, I used conventional booking at another property. Hope this helps.

I was bidding for 3.5* Park Central same day checking (yesterday). Started with 35, countered with $13 more to add. Subsequent bids were 38, 40, 41, 42. The taker was 4* Westin. Checked in really late, was given an executive room (17th floor), I guess the hotel was quite full. Parking is still free across the street, no need to park in the garage or 'valeted'.
