Please help ID 3.5* Key West hotel 7/24 - 7/28 at $145. No amenities listed and reviews still being gathered. Any ideas?

I wanted to be SURE it was the Omphoy and didn't book, as location was important at the time. Thank you.

Thank you. When I first saw the listing for the 4* in Pompano, I thought it might be the Ocean Sands but the Ocean Sands was pinned as a 3.5*? I have stayed there before and didn't feel it was anywhere near a 4*. Thank you re information on possibility of Beachcomber (Pompano) and Howard Johnsons (Deerfield). I will look into both.

Thank you SO much....I had doublechecked amenities but used AOL and I saw nothing different. I went in through Explorer this time and saw additional amenities for the 4* Pompano hotel (4/30 - $128). The full list of amenities are: Resort, Suite, Beachfront, smokefree, pool, fitness, restaurant, business center, laundry, high speed internet and spa. I don't know of any 4* hotels in Pompano Beach so am wondering if it is at the north end and not really PB proper..... The 3* Pompano Beach hotel (4/30 - $195) has no additional amenities listed. The 3* Deerfield Beach hotel (4/30 - $84) has no additional amenities listed. It is a better location for me, but obviously an "inferior" hotel. Any help greatly appreciated. And thank you again - I will no longer go into HOTWIRE through AOL. My apologies for the extra work I caused.

I doublechecked the amenities and don't see any others aside from what I listed. I already have 2 nights (5/1 and 5/2) booked at The Colony in Delray Beach for a reunion. I am trying to find a decent hotel nearby (Deerfield to Palm?) for the night before (4/30) as well as the night after (5/2). I started with the 4/30 night. You refer to the 4* property being better reviewed by TripAdvisor - I'm sorry, but I don't know where to find that on the Hotwire listing? Both the 4* and the 3* Pompano hotels are available on both the nights of 4/30 and 5/3. Yes, there IS a big discrepancy in rates, but I'd like to ID both hotels before making a purchase, especially because Pompano is further south than I would like to be. There is also today listed a 3* Deerfield Beach hotel for $84 for the night of 4/30. Its amenities are beachfront, fitness, pool, restaurant and high speed internet access. Better location for me, although I might prefer one of the other hotel properties. I looked at list of pinned hotels but none of the 3 seem to appear. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

I ended up not booking this room and I could not verify identity of the hotel.

Please note that Hotwire will credit you (double the difference) if you find the room cheaper elsewhere. I booked through them last month and found the hotel cheaper on another site and received a credit a few days after writing them.

Not sure how to update my initial 7/13 posting re ID'ing a 5 star hotel in Berlin but did win the hotel and wanted to advise. How do I update - do I "reply" to my own initial posting? Please advise. When I received confirmation from Hotwire, I checked rates on a few other travel sites and found it for $97/night on Expedia.com. I wrote Hotwire and cited the lower rate, and was given a $40 credit (double the difference) since I had found it cheaper elsewhere. So a great deal for a 5 star property! Stay was 2/13 - 2/16.

Catalina Beach Club - South Beach - 3.5* Boutique Hotel, Near Beach, Airport Shuttle, Restaurant, Complimentary Breakfast, Pool and High speed Internet Access. Hotel probably will not remain a 3.5* property due to many complaints (read TripAdvisor.com for not very positive reviews). Common areas run down, but my room was clean with a great comfortable bed and I had no problems. Airport shuttle a great deal. My price was $99/night on Hotwire - what a steal for such a great location!

You are mistaken - I am not just CURIOUS about these dates and I AM booking a trip. :) FYI - for a city such as Las Vegas, I cannot afford to book a flight if I do not have a hotel room. I had to fly home last week because a convention came into town and hotels were all sold out. I cannot afford a trip without a room. Therefore, I am looking for hotels before booking airfare. Thank you for your hard work, time and effort - I do appreciate it and would not waste your time by posting for no reason. I'll update if I get a flight and take a room at any of the 3 properties listed for those dates. All three are still listed (I check every morning, noon and night, believe me.)

Yes, I used the SEARCH button at the top right of the page. To find my original Chicago post, I typed in my member name and it kicked me off each time. So instead I looked back 90 days in the Chicago post and found it - not a problem. Likewise, when I click on my member name then click PROFILE OPTIONS and FIND MEMBER'S POST, there is no problem. Only when I check using SEARCH and my member name. I am planning a trip to Las Vegas but my dates are open right now. Since there are rarely Northwest Las Vegas hotels listed (the occasional JW Marriott only), when I saw these 3 NW Las Vegas hotels pop up for 1/11 thru 1/15 I wondered which properties they were. I do not make my flight plans until I am sure I have a place to stay, as I had to cut my stay short last week due to convention and sold out rooms in town. I have not yet booked this trip and may push it back until I find a decent accomodation.

I had to search the Chicago forum by date for my initial email instead of doing it by searching by member name for my posting. I tried it again this morning (searching by member name) and AOL again shut down, so there is some glitch in that link. Thanks for info on Northwest hotels - much appreciated. My family lives in Northwest Las Vegas and I am always looking for a hotel room in that area. No specific dates at this point but will keep for further info. I recognize the JW Marriott but had no idea about the "lesser" starred properties.

There are three 4* hotels listed for Chicago for Nov 18 - Nov 20th 1 - Loop Fitness and High Speed Internet Access - $129 2 - NMA - Magnificent Mile Boutique, Fitness, Restaurant, Business Center - $173 3 - NMA - Magnificent Mile Customer Favorite - REstaurant, High Speed Internet, Fitness Center, Business Center - $160 I know there are a few hotels that match some of these descriptions but hoping that the price will be of help to let me know what they might be?
