I'm a first time user of Priceline. I am looking to go to Europe in August with a friend, going from TPA to MAD, then LON to TPA. The prices we found on Orbitz/Google Flights etc. are $1000+, depending on day/time. I decided to check out Priceline Name Your Own Price and found TPA-MAD for $200(!) and then LON-TPA for $150(!). We don't care about departure times or connections, or anything like that. I just want to be guaranteed to get there and back around the days we book. Are there any downsides to going through Priceline Name Your Own Price? It seems like an incredible bargain that's too good to be true. I'm looking for confirmation that it's not too good to be true.
