Thanks again for the help genuinely appreciated. DB
  3. I've been reading the reviews since on the Gallivant and it isn't actually too bad, so think I'll take a punt on it if I can't find anything better. Tempted to submitted a bid marginally below on NYOP to see can I get anything of interest, prices seem to be quite high in manhattan for my travel dates.
  4. Hi there, Thanks for the speedy reply and duly noted about the rates - will do next time. Out of interest what makes you think it is the Gallivant rather than Holiday Inn Time Square, looking at the hotel list, I marginally thought it was the Holiday Inn instead of Gallivant. Not sure I'm keen on the Gallivant :-( Thanks, DB

  6. Paid £302 GBP for 3 nights. Which I would estimate as approx $470 dollars inclusive of tax based on todays exchange rate. Only facility listed was "High Speed Internet" Regards, D.
  7. thereuare - will do. Phil - You too, based on the reviews I've read it appears a good deal given the time of year.
  8. Just to say I decided to go ahead and book and can confirm it is indeed Astor on the Park. For the money thats a good deal, I think!
  9. I'm looking at the exam same hotel my dates are 13/9-16/9 My hunch (and its nothing more than that) is its one of these two: Astor on the Park or Park 79. Just watching for now, so wont be booking for now, but I would be interested in knowing if you take the plunge and book it!
