  1. Yeah! I want to thank all of you guys for the effort you put into keeping this site uptodate. Specially thereuare who recommended bid-splitting in the first place.
  2. Actually I was attending a conference at Renaissance so my life was made a lot easier! It was a flawless stay.
  3. Wanted to get a 4* for 11/07/05-11/11/05. Failed up to $110 per night so I had to split the bid and got Wyndham for the first night.
  4. I first got Pier 5 hotel for $80. Couple of days later it was downgraded to 3* so I called PL and had the reservation cancelled. Then I got Renaissance for $85 on first try. Probably could have got it for $80 as well.
  5. Just one day after my post about Pier 5 being downgraded to 3*, TOBB has updated its hotel list. Isn't it hilarious how they monitor here? :)
  6. Hi all, I checked the request status for my accepted bid and realized that Priceline has downgraded Pier 5 to 3*.
  7. Well, I'm not an expert but in my case I couldn't get a 4* in inner harbor up to $100. Next day I tried again and got one for $80 on the first bid. I'd say you should give it a try in few days. see my earlier post here: 4* Inner Harbor $80
  8. Ok guys, Following my earlier post where I couldn't get a 4* up to $100 in this region, I decided to give it another try today. I started with $80 on a 4* in Inner Harbor area and got accepted on the first bid. The hotel is Pier 5 (hmm, tripadvisor rates it as a 3* :) ). I preferred Renaissance since I'm attending a conference there or one of the other two major brands (Marriot waterfront or Hyatt). Anyway, has any of you guys been to this Pier 5 before? btw, seems like they have updated the inventory just today since I got rejected yesterday. ps. staying 11/07-11/11
  9. Well, I think I'd wait a week or two before splitting. I'll try rebidding next week. Maybe it's just related to priceline inventory. In that case I'll prefer to wait and get it for a price between $80-$100 per night. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
  10. Thanks thereuare. Well, of course I'd rather stay at the same hotel. However, if the price is going to be above $110 per night I'll consider splitting. btw, do you guys have any particular strategies/suggestions for splitting? My stay is from Mon. to Fri.
  11. Hi guys, I tried to bid on a 4* in Baltimore Inner Harbor area for Nov. 7-11. I started from $70 and worked upto $99 (didn't rebid further). Now I know some people have got these for $80. Any ideas why prices are higher for that period of time? Thanks
