I ended up booking the HOTWIRE offer which did turn out to be the SLS for $103/night (not including fees). Thank you for the suggestion of Treasure Island, it was an option that I considered because of the free parking; but the +$76 price difference ended up being my deciding point and I didn't end up leaving SLS as much as I originally thought I would so it worked out fine for me. Thanks again!

Debating between this option and Palms Place, both are similar price range and have free parking but both options are also far (not walking distance from strip). I know SLS (if that's what property this is) is nearby a monorail but we would probably just drive to strip. But ideally, I would prefer the option of having relatively cheap food options (food court) at least nearby. Thoughts?

So after I won and booked Le Meridien, I did more research and discovered that people have been complaining about protesters outside of the hotel. Apparently they've been doing it on and off for years but it hasn't been an extreme annoyance until relatively recently. The hotel can't do anything about it because the protesters don't work for the hotel and are within their rights. I understand that Hot Rate® Hotel bookings are final and I understand that this is something that can't exactly be disclosed on Hotwire but I feel like it generally should be. I read that somebody was able to get a refund through Hotwire after complaining but it seems like this is not usually granted since they claim it's out of their hands. Has anybody had any experience with anything similar to this?

Came out to $240 with taxes & fees. Was hoping I would get Le Meriden and I did. :D

I'm disappointed with my win. I did HOURS of research and I purposely picked a 4.5 boutique hotel thinking that I would get W Hotel Downtown. There were only two 4.5 options listed for Financial District - Wall Street on betterbidding.com and these were W Hotel Downtown and Andaz Wall Street. ]I picked the cheaper option and "boutique" so I assumed that I would get W Downtown. And Gild Hall was not listed as a boutique hotel or 4.5 so I thought that wouldn't even be an option. It did say that "the last person got the "Gild Hall - A Thompson Hotel" but I thought they were grouping the 4 listings with the 4.5. I'm guessing that Gild Hall was recently upgraded to 4.5? - Hotwire does list it as 4.5 now but i was basing it off betterbidding's list. I used BiddingHelper.com and these were the listed amenities: FULL AMENITIES: Boutique hotel, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access. It was listed as "Financial District - Wall Street Area Boutique Hotel" with 4.5 stars and 95% recommendation. Although it was listed $167 on RateDrop.com, it was listed as $174 on HOTWIRE.com. Obviously I picked the slightly cheaper option but taxes/fees were the same price.
