  1. This is listed as a 4 star hotel, not a 4 1/2, but I am not complaining. $75/night in Chicago is hard to beat. Might be a little cold near the lake but this is a nice hotel. BTW, there was a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $82, so I tried $65, then $70 and then $75 and it was accepted. Thanks---Steve
  2. Been trying all week for this rate. Thank goodness there are lots of zones in the Chicago area that don't have 4 stars. I was able to use some ghost zones and finally got a nice room for a nice price. Now, on to Vegas!! Thanks BetterBidding!!
  3. Bought it for $103. Confirmed, it is the Palazzo!! Thanks for your help!!
  4. Seems like a great rate for that room. Will check with the wife, and if I book it, I will use your PRICELINE link!! Thanks again---Steve
  5. Found this on Hotwire today for a Hot Rate Hotel. It is North Strip, 5 stars with the following specs: Dates: April 26-29 (3 nights) Rate: $103 Amenities: Business center Casino Fitness center Pool(s) Resort Restaurant(s) Suite Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks---Steve
  6. Tried to get a 4 star using the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals. Listed price was $54/night. Clicked on it and entered all of my info. After submitting it, I got a response that the offer was no longer available. So I decided to bid. Same amount and won it. Odd... Original amenities were: Rated 7.0 out of 10 (or higher) Guaranteed Amenities: Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center Check In: Sat Jul 11, 2015 Check Out: Sun Jul 12, 2015 Amenities for the room I won (Westin Bristol) are: Free Internet (in Public Area) Pool Non-Smoking Gym Restaurant Business Center Thanks Better Bidding. You make this so easy!!
  7. I started bidding at $80 and used a couple free rebid zones, and then decided to check the Express Deals. Average 3 1/2 was $221 a night. Using PRICELINE EXPRESS Prices line showed 3 stars available at $303, 2 1/2 stars available at $117 and for some reason a 3 1/2 star for $109. I bought it without even messing around. Turns out to be the Sheraton. Thanks Better Bidding for all of your help. This is going to be a great trip to Montreal and then Vermont!!
  8. Started in this zone at $83, and increased with small price increments in the "re-bid" zones. Ended up getting the Hotel 10 for 3 nights at $97 USD per night. After reading some of the reviews of this hotel, I couldn't be happier with the results. Thanks BetterBidding for your help and support. You do an amazing job helping people get the best deals possible!! Now, on to Burlington Vermont for a couple of nights!!
  9. Thanks Better Bidding!! I used your link and the techniques on here and grabbed 2 nights at the William Penn in downtown Pittsburgh for $95 a night (plus taxes). Going to be a great trip as my wife and I get to go watch our beloved Detroit Tigers play there on Monday night. Can't say enough about your site and the valuable resourse that it is. Thanks---Steve
  10. My wife and I have stayed there many times. They underwent a major remodel several years ago. It is nice inside. The rooms tend to be small however. Last time we were there ($65 PRICELINE bid for a February) they put us in a room that was about the size of my bedroom at home. With a bed, chair and TV, there wasn't much room to walk around. My wife complained (ie, turned on her charm) and we were upgraded to a corner suite. It was directly over Michigan Ave, and also faced north. Couldn't beat it. As busy as Chicago is this time of year, the likelihood of that happening isn't great. But, regardless of the room you get, the location is wonderful. Have fun!!
  11. Saw a post on here for $48 and this is exactly the area we wanted to stay. So, why not try, right? Got it on the first try. No need to add ghost areas. Very happy!! (and of course, I used the link on here before going to PRICELINE!!)
  12. Started at $57 and was declined, but had an option to bid $65. I knew I must be close, so I split the difference and added a 'ghost zone' and bumped my bid to $61. Figured I would get the Hyatt. Pleasantly surprised that I got the Intercontinental. Tried to add an additional night, but was unsuccessful. May have to move hotels, which I am not a big fan of, but if I save a ton (74% of the listed price), I am not going to complain. Thanks BetterBidding!!!
