Question: I'd like to extend this through weekend (PRICELINE request link). I booked W-FR because I need 1 bed for 3 nights, then 2 beds for 2 nights. Should I request 2 beds from Hilton, then make extension request? Or extend, then make the bed request?

Traveling w/ spouse to SF 8/5 - 8/10. Daughter is bunking at USF at night, while dancing on 8th st in SOMA. I know nearly nothing about SF. Can someone recommend a central location to seek lodging that offers reasonably easy access to both USF, and 8th st? Thanks for any info.

Looking at listing on Priceline it appears to be the Comfort Suites.

2.5* hotel in Hagerstown with fitness center, pool, business center, and HI speed internet. Anyone have an idea about which hotel this may be?

Oops. Hotel is Westin Grand at 2350 M Street.

Accepted 1st bid. Should have started lower. :) Nice hotel, we have stayed here before for more $ on HOTWIRE. According to hotel website, best rate is $489.

Daughter is staying at USF. Bidding USW & USE 4* & 3* up to $115. No joy.

1st time in SF. Is travel from airport hotel inconvenient? Expensive? Any other ideas are welcome. I'd prefer to stay closer to USF.

This turned out to be a nice little find. $5 shuttle into Manhattan. Front desk staff gave me info on how the locals return from the city. $2 private shuttle from 42nd & 8th across Lincoln tunnel to a taxi stand, taxi back to hotel. $15 total round trip into Midtown. I did return once by taxi - fixed rate of $28, $6 toll, + tip.

Did have a rental car. Parking was free!!! I would book this place direct in the future.

Rooms were clean and decent size.

I gambled, thinking that this might be the Candlewood in the Hotwire list. Turned out to be the Days Inn off I-495 at 2750 Tonnelle Ave. We'll probably take a taxi across the Lincoln Tunnel.
