Hey guys - thanks for all of the feedback; very helpful. I'm going to periodically keep trying all the up until a week before the trip. Given the timeframe, I think its better to be patient and I'm confident I'll score a better deal. I'll reply back with my final dates and hotel in late Sept.....

Hello - I could use the board's assistance in identifying a 3.5 star hotel with "resort amenities" for a late September stay. This is really throwing me for a loop - how can you have a 3.5 star "resort" and also not have reviews yet ? (The site says they are "still gathering reviews for this property.") Advertised for $127 a night.

looking to go september 27-october 4
I've spent a couple of weeks bidding for a resort or a 4 star in late September / early October and have been unsuccessful. My bids have been between $115-$155 for a 7 night stay. I found this a little shocking considering others have had success around $120 in the same general timeframe and this is considered "off season" for Hawaii. Am I missing something here (event in Maui, foreign holiday)? Is it too early to expect similar deals and would I be better off waiting ? Thanks in advance!

Been bidding for several months and finally broke through this morning. Patience is a virtue!
