  1. Second time in the past 3 weeks, where I've successfully won an affordable price to a decently star hotel. For just $75 a night (June 14th thru 16th) I am able to get a quick business trip done without the hassle of paying a ridiculously high price for last minute travel. Thank you Priceline and Thank you betterbidding for showing me the ropes! I'll follow up in about 2 weeks with a review of this hotel. Wish me luck!
  2. As promised here is my review on Hilton Washington: I was a guest 5/30 thru 6/2, $80 a night--crossed my fingers and begged to God to get it at this price, success! The Hotel Staff is pretty friendly. They'll do their best to give you your space (which I like) but also quite accessible. My one complaint in terms of staffing would be the Concierge; this is not the platform for bashing. So moving on, When checking in, (after midnight) I was given a floor choice, as well as, a choice between 2 queens or a king. This was the view as soon as I walked in, pretty spacious and the bathroom was quite contemporary, decent size. All in all, the hotel is in a central location; walking distance to the trendy areas, but not the national mall area, but the metro is not too far away. Great deal, affordable price, and it may not be a high-4 star hotel but it is clean, well maintained, and a snag if you're just passing through the city. Happy Travels
  3. I signed up with Betterbidding yesterday. Read through most forum blogs and researched throughout both HOTWIRE and PRICELINE sites. Successfully today, I booked my priceline 4-star hotel in Washington DC- Dupont Circle at an affordable $80/a night rate for 3 nights, next week (this includes a weekend, people). Great stuff, I tell ya! I will follow up with a reply post next week on a review of the hotel--pics too! Thank you Betterbidding :-)
  4. Did you just enter a price that you wanted, and priceline accepted it? I will be up there in DC around the same time next week and I'm trying to find the best deal (aren't we all, I know). Great for you on finding that deal!
  5. Thank you for such a quick response. I will be arriving very late-11:55PM on May 30th in DCA to June 2nd. I haven't been to DC in several years. I will not have a car, so I need to be centrally located to the downtown area as I have an interview near George Washington Univ. My budget is up to 100/per night. Of course I'd like to stay at a decent nice hotel, with free internet is possible. Can you help?
  6. Hello There- Any suggestion on how to bid (aggressively but comparable) on priceline/hotwire without being totally out of the ball park.
