Buyers remorse...wishing I had waited! Prices have now dropped well below what I paid. Wishing I hadn't been in such a hurry to get a rental. Just though maybe someone could learn from my experience.
I started at $7 a day and worked my way up $1 at a time and ended up getting a compact car from LAX through Hertz for $17 a day. I am obviously a planner (booked this 4 months in advance). I am wondering if I could have got a better deal last minute, but noticed that hotels were booking up and several rental companies said they had low availability for the day we arrive (I think there's possibly some type of event going on in the LA area) so I decided to go ahead and book. I'm happy enough with my deal.

Going on a pre-baby trip with friends and wanted to do this trip cheap. We wanted to stay fairly close to Disneyland so I started bidding in the area at some ridiculously low price (like $26 a night). I increased my bid a dollar at a time and ended up getting the Days Inn Anahiem Maingate for $33 per night. I was a little scared that we might get some awful no name hotel (I knew it was a gamble) but after reading the reviews on the hotel I'm happy with what we got. Free parking, free breakfast and free wifi and you can't beat the price! I love betterbidding! It has been super helpful, I recommend it to everybody!
