  1. I know that you have a list of hotels here that participate in Hotwire & Priceline and the applicable Star Rating, so that we know the 'universe' of possible outcomes, however I don't see any similar list for participating Car Rental Companies. I ask because I will be using 'betterbidding.com' links to rent a car for our upcoming Vegas Trip, HOWEVER it is pretty important that I NOT get Fox Rental Car. . . primarily because of they are actually located at a separate rental location requiring 2 shuttles AND the lousy reviews. I haven't seen any Wins on the boards relating to Fox, but dop we know if Fox participates with Priceline or Hotwire?? and do we know with 100% certainty? thanks in advance.
  2. Are you suggesting that the Westin Casuaina has been moved to the East of Strip category?? I thought Hotwire was always categorizing it in Strip South geography for some reason. BTW to the OP, any of the Strip South properties would be walking distance to NYNY. ...Your best bet in my opinion would be to look at the 4 star offering south strip. . . that often turns out to be Tropicana which is Kitty Corner to NYNY and connected by overhead walkways. ( of course, use this board to confirm the likely hotel.) . . but NYNY is Strip South so any other Strip South is pretty close to NYNY
  3. First posting I have read where the poster is trying to get the Trump. .. .everyone else is trying to avoid it. And yes, it should say North Area instead of Strip North if the powers that be at Hotwire had ever actually been in Las Vegas they would know that Trump is not a Strip hotel. Somewhere, somehow I think there is money changing hands to trick people into the Trump. .
  4. I think I am supposed to close this thread with final results. if so, As of now , we ended up booking Flamingo using code I found for $70 a night. this was much better than what I could see on HW or PL. That will remain in our backpocket, and when we get close to the date, we will see what the options are here and hopefully win a better deal with the help of betterbidding.com (Flamingo is cancellable up to 3 days b/4) Cheers.
  5. From what I can see, Trump was rezoned back into Strip North yesterday . . . I was hoping that Hotwire was going to move Trump and Westin to their proper geographic zones offstrip, but it appears it was only a 2 week tease for Trump.. . . truth in advertising is defeated once again.
  6. This is for Sept 21 - 25 inclusive $80. We would like some clue what this might be, and also some idea how confident you might be that it is NOT the Westin (if at all !!) Thanks in advance 4-star Hotel in Las Vegas Strip - South This Hotel features the following amenities: Resort Free Parking Free Internet Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Golf Nearby Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower
  7. Great Site. . . I will be booking through either HW or PL, and I will be using your links. BUT, first,. . . .in order to make sure I don't make a big mistake, I just want to confirm what I think I have learned. We will be going to Las Vegas in Sept., and will be looking for a Strip property, looking for a great deal for 3 rooms Under every possible circumstance, we must avoid Trump and Westin Casuarino. . . . both because of location. So I just want to confirm what I have found out: With Hotwire, Trump can easily be identified because it is the only 5 star Strip North that has no casino listed. if a 5 star is listed with Casino, it has to be Wynn/Encore or Venetian/Palazzo correct ?:? With Hotwire, in order to make sure I do not get Westin, I have to go 4.5 star or above, correct?? There is no chance that Westin Casuarino could ever be considered in the 4.5 star category??? OR, would I have to make sure I go 5 star only for strip S.?? With Priceline, North Strip is safe because Trump is not in that geographic area....Correct?? ..Trump is in Strip North Vicinity.? .. Therefore if I bid on 5 star Strip North, it will be between the same 4 properties listed above. . the 2 Wynn and the 2 LVS. Correct?? (If CP went to 5 star that would be fine, or Mirage, I just have to make sure Trump will not be gotten with Strip North 5 star) With Priceline, Westin is listed by you folks as 3.5* It cannot be guaranteed that Priceline would not change that to a 4 *, correct?? So going 4.5* or above with Priceline would guarantee I would not bet Westin Casuarino. . correct?? Lastly, Are there any other off-strip properties that HW or PL categorize as on the Strip, similar to Trump/Westin? I think everything else is legit, but it would be very very troubling if we ended up with either of those two locations or something that was miscategorized like these are. AND Trump can easily be identified. . . . . BUT, Is there anything that would be in the amenities that would clearly signal that it is NOT the Westin?? Thanks for any help. ... .Looking forward to booking cheers
