  1. i would like to pay for a reunion if i can get a decent rate on priceline. the event is in june. plan to have people make their own reservations that they can cancel and try priceline the week of the event. are hotels inclined to give empty rooms away at a good discount for people wanting 10 rooms for 3 days or do they try to game us knowing getting 10 rooms at a discount at any hotel is not easy. thanks

  9. hi, i am interested in bidding on a 4* in downtown charleston for late october for 4 nights - would appreciate advice on the following. 1. I know there are no guarantees, any tips to land the french quarter inn rather than the renaissance? will bid up to $150 - would prefer not to land the renaissance. 2. is it too early to bid now for late october? 3. is late oct low season for charleston? thanks a bunch in advance.
  10. thank you. it is a good price for that property - unfortunately i am stuck with a room out of the way because of my mistake, I assumed (wrong) that 3.5 star was the highest level in that zone - had i scrolled down below 1* and noticed that they have resorts in that zone, i wouldn't have added that zone - lesson for the future - do not bid when tired and not focussed on what you are doing :) i still think the right place for resorts is above 5* (or 4*) and not below 1*
  11. i was trying to get a 4* in the SeaWorld - International Drive - Convention Center zone. i wanted rosen shingle creek - that's where my meeting is - bid up to 79 over the last two days. in a moment of stupidity, i upped it to $89 and added Lake Buena Vista - Downtown Disney as a free rebid as I saw only 3.5* in this zone. i got this hotel - i was surprised and went back to the priceline site only to notice that they have resorts after 1* !!! used the PRICELINE link on this website for the initial bid but forgot for the winning bid - two mistakes in one day !!!
