  1. That's an awesome deal when you consider the location and the fact that it's Mardi Gras. Wow!
  2. I am not so sure that's the Sheraton. I think they are usually 85% on Hotwire. Someone said in a thread down the page here that that might be the Hyatt French Quarter. Either place would be great though!
  3. Hello, I didn't take the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal. I saw the deal and used it to gauge my "Name your own price" bid. However, I did just go back and look for the Express Deal anyway, but it is no longer there.
  4. There was a Priceline "Express Deal" for a 2 1/2 star hotel for $48. I bid $42 and won on my first bid, so you might could go a few dollars cheaper. btw, they charge a $9.95 "resort" fee though, which I do not like. But it's still a good deal for $52. This is a really good location. It's just 1 block down St. Charles from Bourbon Street. It's a decent place too - I've stayed there twice before.
  5. Great location, great price for that weekend. Probably not the nicest place, but it will work! Free Internet Boutique Hotel Pool(s) Wheelchair accessible Used the BetterBidding HOTWIRE link.
  6. I think the 85% is the Sheraton. At least they have been rated 85% on Hotwire before when I booked. I don't know why only 85%, I like it there.
  7. The Intercontinental just had a fire. I'm sure they have reopened but I don't know how well they've aired the place out.
  8. Tried $60 for downtown and was rejected. Saw $55 for a Convention Center hotel in the PRICELINE EXPRESS deals, so I bid $45 and got it. We've stayed there before. It's not a fancy place, but it'll work. The price is certainly right!
  9. Saw Mike777's priceline deal and said that would be great if I could just score the same deal. Didn't even try to bid lower and got it on the first try. Used the PRICELINE link from this site since it has been helpful in getting me some good deals.
  10. Thank you, Mike! I saw your win and decided that it would be great if I could get the same deal, which I did! And of course I went through the PRICELINE link on this site.
  11. Not in and out, I'm sure. However, you can just park the car and walk everywhere if you are in decent shape - or take one of the street cars.
  12. Bid 40 for 2 1/2 star or better in the Convention Center / Warehouse district and won on the first try. Of course I used the PRICELINE link on this website.
  13. I have found the cheaper parking garages to be on O'Keefe between Gravier and Common (for $15 per day). That's not far from your hotel. Maybe someone else knows of someplace better, but that's where I would park. NOTE: I don't work for this website. I'm just a member.
  14. It's a decent hotel. It's clean, and the staff is friendly. It's within easy walking distance of Bourbon Street. There are plenty of parking garages on O'Keefe Street, just one block over.
  15. That's too early for Mardi Gras to be the problem. There may be some big conventions going on around those dates. I don't know.
  16. The Hilton Riverside is a really nice place. And to walk back safely from the French Quarter late night, you can cut through the casino!
  17. If it's the Queen and Crescent, they charge a $9.95 "resort" fee on top of the rate advertised. That fee is mandatory.
  18. My guess is the Holiday Inn French Quarter. I know for a fact that it gets 90% approval on Hotwire. Also the Downtown Holiday Inn always lists that "Accessible for the blind", "Accessible path of travel", etc., so Holiday Inn French Quarter might do the same. DISCLAIMER: I do not work for this website!
  19. I'm very happy with the hotel and location but I should have bid a little less I guess, as Priceline accepted my first offer of $70 for a 3.5 star or higher. I'm happy though! And of course I used the PRICELINE link on this website.
  20. Mixed reviews? The Marriott is great! Nice place, and an excellent location. I like a room up high on the river side. It's quite a view.
  21. 2 1/2 may be Royal St. Charles. Compare the amenities list. Decent hotel in a great location.
  22. Tried 65 for a downtown 3.5 star and was declined. Tried 70 for downtown or French Qtr for 3.5 star and got this 4 star in downtown. Very nice place but pretty far from the Quarter. We'll have to take a cab back to the hotel, so that's another $8. LOL! Used the PRICELINE link from this site.
