  1. Also - Hotwire has a 5 star hotel in Water Tower (April 23-27) for $241 and River North for $249. Since the price is very similar which hotel do you think this one is? Which one is better in your opinion (Priceline 5* vs Horwire 5*). Thank you Water Tower 5* Hotel Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Tennis nearby Free Internet River North 5* hotel Indoor pool(s) Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Spa services Free Internet
  2. the dates are April 23 to 27 2015. I need one additional day (April 22) for one of the rooms. I was rejected at 220/per night. The express bid offer was 237/per night. If I ended up increasing my bid, say 5 or 8 dollars, wouldn't I most likely get the same hotel that is offered at the express offer? Its an 18 dollar a difference. Funny how this thing works. Your adice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for you time and this website is great!
  3. Hello I have been trying to get a 5 star hotel in the River North section of downtown. I have went up to 220/per night and have been rejected. I need three rooms too. The express bidding has a 5 star River North hotel for $237; Indoor or outdoor pool, Fitness Center, Pets Allowed, Free Internet, Resturant, and Buisness Center. I beleive it is Park Hyatt Chicago. In addition, I need an additional night for one of the rooms. I was thinking of doing the express offer and then immediately do it again for one additional night. If the price is the same would do you think that I should be able to get the same place? or should I call the hotel to see if I can get a rack rate since I have three rooms already. Your advice is very much appreciated. I want to pull the trigger soon. Thank you in advance.
  4. My winning bid for 5 star Paris hotel for May 26-31 was $380/night for Scribe Paris Hotel on price line. thank you for all of your help.
  5. Thank you for your response however, I did this and priceline still remembers me and therefore the 24hr waiting period is still in effect. Closing the browser only resets the zones but priceline still remembers my trip destination, dates, cc info and tells me to wait 24hrs to rebid. So, the closing the browser doesn't reset priceline.
  6. So, as far as I understand, I have wait until the 24hrs is up and then rebid the seven zones again starting from 200 and up. I might as well use 10 increments or maybe 15 increments since I only have seven tries before I have to wait another 24hrs. By the way, closing the browser doesn't help at all. Priceline still remembers me regardless if I close the browser. That theory doesn't work.
  7. Thank you for your suggestion. I have decided to stick with OQWest and I tried OQW with the other seven zones and no bids were accepted. I went as high as 215. Now it appears that I have to wait 24hrs to rebid. Once I run out to zones to rebid then what do I do? I guess I have to wait 24hrs to start rebidding at 220? Can't things change within 24hrs? Help thank you
  8. Thank you for replying. I just picked OQW because its dead center but I could include OQE. I was looking at rooms in this area for five star hotels and they are ranging between 550 and up and I almost pulled trigger. I would love to get a room for five nights for less than $300 but if its a little over than no worries. So whats my plan?
  9. Hello everyone - I need a little help with bidding/suggestions regarding selecting a hotel. My wife and I are going to Paris on May 26- May 31st and we are targeting the 5 star hotels on price line. There are currently 3 regions out of ten that offer a 5 star hotel. Region 5 = La Defense Neuilly; Region 8 = Opera Quarter East - Les Halles; and Region 9 = Opera Quarter West - Jardin De Toulues. I have decided that region 5 = La Defense Neuilly is out so I am left with the other two (region 8 and 9). I am leaning towards Opera Quarter West - JDT because after search the net it looks like the following hotels are in the section: Reniassane Verdome Paris, Le Burgundy Paris, Scribe Paris, and Sofetil Paris Le Fargourg. The price for these hotels starts around $530. How should I do the bidding and at what price should I start at? Thank you in advance for your response!
