Started bidding at $60 in Bozeman zone, then added each of the remaining zones with $5 increments. I knew the West Yellowstone zone also had 3* properties, but I had failed at a much higher bid the night before so I knew that zone wouldn't be a factor.

Started bidding for 4* Downtown at $75 and was rejected, added zone Nashville Antioch Smyrna bid $85 and was rejected, added zone Nashville North with a bid of $95 and won. Hotel website has it for $159. Historic wins and $95 helped with my bidding! Again thanks for the information!

Started bidding at $93 on 4* for Convention Ctr - Capitol Hill area, Dupont Circle - Woodley Park, White House - Downtown. Added zones without 4* and bid $95, $97 and then finally won with $101. Thanks for the help!

Thank you, I didn't realize there could be such a difference. My dates have changed because of a convention conflict with my next destination so I'm flipping cities. I'll post a new topic. Sorry for the hijack.

Hi Sporty and thereuare and others who are following: I'm bidding for NYC July 17th for 4 nights and I used similar zones without success. My max bid was $183 and nothing. I'm going book something refundable, but I'm also going to see what the 3.5* hotels have to offer. I'll watch this to see if there are any changes and I'll post if something comes up. Thanks for posting, at least I know I'm not alone in questioning the outcomes.

I couldn't have done this without the rebidding lessons found on this forum! We really wanted to stay in the Copely Square - Back Bay area. My husband said I should start bidding at $130, I thought it would fail and it did, Added rebid zone: Fenway with a bid of $143 and failed, Added rebid zone: Brighton with a bid of $153 and failed, Added rebid zone: Medford with a bid of $163 and failed, Added rebid zone: North Cambridge with a bid of $173 and won! We had set $175 as our final bid before we would have switched zones. Thanks again for the help ;)

Thank you for posting the re-bidding strategy so clearly. This made it very easy for me to understand. I'll be bidding on Boston hotels in a few days after I confirm my flight. I've been searching hotel sights and I'm shocked at the rates! We've decided to shorten our stay in Boston and added days in NYC and Washington! I'll be sure to use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the sight and I'll post the results! Thanks again!
