  1. Booked two rooms for one night at the Hyatt Regency in Toronto for March 26th. In all of my time staying dtown, I have yet to stay at the Hyatt so curious to see how it compares to the Hilton, Sheraton, Intercontinental etc. I had been monitoring the prices on Hotwire over the last week and making bids of up to $80 on Priceline. This time around I began my bidding in the 4* Dtown South area at $65 and was happy when it accepted my $73 bid. As always, I used the PRICELINE link above. Thx!
  2. Hi guys, Thanks for the quick feedback. I am sure it will be fine too. They saved some good money with the hotel so they won't have an issue spending a little more cash on some nice dinners! :) Thx
  3. My uncle and his wife asked me to book them three nights in NYC for an upcoming trip. They wanted something close to Times Square so I was hoping for one of the nicer boutique hotels but was surprised with an early dollar win of $120 at the Grand Hyatt. The reviews aren't as good as I had expected but I am hoping that it's just a few complainers and the hotel will work out okay. Anyone have any restaurant or tips for them while they are at the Grand Hyatt? As always, I used the PRICELINE link on this website. Thanks!
  4. Booked one room for one night last minute at the Hilton above last week. Used the PRICELINE link on this site as always. Great location and deal as there aren't many options in the area. Thanks!
  5. I am trying to book one room for three nights in Midtown East/Central or the Times Square area from March 25th till March 28th. There is currently a 4* in MTC which lists smoke-free, fitness center, restaurant, Business Center and High-Speed. Recommended in 80% of customer reviews. Any indication what this may be? I will likely try Priceline if I should use a particular starting bid considering the $155 price for a 4* on Hotwire. Sorry if this overlaps between the two forums. Any help would be appreciated. Thx!
  6. Need one room for an earlier night prior to our other booking listed on the forum below. Got it for $20 cheaper. Thx.
  7. I ended up booking through PRICELINE and posted my results in the corresponding forum. Thx.
  8. Booked three rooms for two nights for a Convention in the downtown Baltimore area. Would have been nice to snag a room at similar prices to what we've seen recently at similar properties but it's over $300/night on their website so I think it will work out okay. Just hope I didn't book too soon. As usual, I used the PRICELINE links. Thx.
  9. Booked a third room for the same night at the same hotel for a price of $78. Thx!
  10. Booked a friend two rooms for one night in Niagara Falls for this weekend. He'll be happy with the results. Use the PRICELINE link as always. Thanks!
  11. Need to book three rooms for two nights and notice this hotel for $94 per night. Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Business Center High-speed Internet Access Customer rating on TripAdvisor 4.0 out of 5.0 What is TripAdvisor Any guesses?
  12. I need 3 rooms in Baltimore for early June and this could be an option for us but I don't want to jump into anything if I don't have any feedback. I will start another thread with my intentions and use the HOTWIRE / PRICELINE links as usual. Thanks.
  13. I am curious to know why this hotel has yet to be rated on TripAdvisor yet it's rated #47 out of #72 hotels...is it new? Has anyone stayed here and can review it for us?
  14. With over three months till you need the rooms, I would definitely try to be patient as you can usually find the Delta Chelsea for less then what you are bidding on right now.
  15. Hi Sassy, As I mentioned during our previous conversation, you can't specifically pick a hotel in the area but as long as you are flexible with any hotel in the Dtown south area of a certain * rating you should have plenty of options. If you'd like to try for one of the 4* Hotels in the Priceline - Downtown South area you will likely end up with the Sheraton, Hyatt Regency, Intercontinental on Front, Renaissance or Hilton in that area which are all close to the ACC. There are a few others you could win but these seem to be the most common. What I generally do is check Hotwire first for the same dates by clicking the HOTWIRE link above on betterbidding. When I check the dates you are looking for I see there is a 4* Hotel in the Downtown Toronto East area for $119 a night plus tax. If you were cool with that price you could easily book that on Hotwire but if you want to give Priceline a try here is what I would suggest. Click on the PRICELINE link above. When you get the PRICELINE link click Bid on Name Your Own Price - Hotel and select the dates you are interested in then click bid now to take you to next screen. There are many different 4* re-bid zones in the Downtown Toronto area so you have a number of tries each day to try and get a good price. Because I typically find Hotwire to be $15 per night more expensive then Priceline I would suggest clicking on Downtown Toronto South, then select 4* Deluxe. Then enter a bid of maybe $85, include your name and then payment info on the next page. Verify that your info is correct and then enter payment info then click "Buy My Hotel Room Now". Chances are you won't win it with your first bid but better to start low in case you can win it then big too high and leave money on the table. Does that make sense so far? Then once you've made you first bid we can add other zones with the 4* Downtown Toronto South Zone and bid a few dollars more. The key here is to only select a re-bid zone that doesn't have 4* hotels in it. You will notice that there are quite a few hotel zones in the entire Toronto area which don't have 4* hotels (IE Brampton, Burlington, Don Valley etc). I am sure others can explain it alot easier then I can but that's why I suggested you post on here. Let me know if this makes sense. Good luck and keep us updated as the first time could be a long process but you will definitely save some money.
  16. Booked the folks a room downtown for one night in Mid February. I had recently booked other rooms in the dtown area for $76 so started the bidding at $65 and winning bid was accepted at $77 plus tax. They will be very happy with their win. Of course I used the PRICELINE link above. Thx!
  17. I started back at $65 and bid back up to $78 this time. Hope that helps.
  18. Just a heads up that I booked another room at the Sheraton for a price of $78 USD for the same night. Thanks.
  19. Booked four rooms at the Sheraton for a night downtown later this month. I used the PRICELINE link as always! Thanks!
  20. Booked three rooms at the Marriott for an early morning flight the following morning. As always I used the PRICELINE link above. Thanks!
  21. I have been trying to book a hotel in Dtown Cincy for the past 5-6 weeks now for tomorrow evening and was finally successful with a slightly increased bid. At $90 I received the re-bid option so figured I was pretty close and was finally won it at $105 per room for the night. Considering we were supposed to stay at the 3.5* Millenium down the street which has horrible reviews I was relieved to get the Cincinnatian Hotel. My only concern is whether we can get two beds per room but I realize it's a chance we take. I used the PRICELINE link above. Thanks!
  22. Booked one room using the PRICELINE link above for this coming Saturday at the Marriott in Buffalo-Amherst. We've stayed here a number of times and it's the best deal in the area. Thanks!
  23. Booked two rooms using the PRICELINE link above for Friday, Nov 26th! Thanks!
