  1. My bad, in the search, I thought the # of adults was per room, not total. I will look for alternatives. Thank you.
  2. Hello, please help identifying the following hotels, all for dates March 15th to March 19th, its 2 rooms, accomodating 3 adults each. 4.5* Times Square South area Boutique Hotel @ $204 per night. Amenities: free internet, smoke free rooms, fitness center, boutique hotel, restaurant. 85% recommended. 4* Central Park South area @181 per night. Amenities: pet friendly, indoor pool, pool, business center, internet access, accessible for hearing impaired, accessible bathroom, boutique hotel, fitness center, restaurants, self service laundry, spa services, in room accessibility, wheelchair accessible. 90% recommended It also charges an estimated resort fee of $20 per room, per night (total of $160 for this trip) Best regards.
  3. Used the PRICELINE link provided by betterbidding. Started bidding $50 for a 4* property in Central Scottsdale. Added 9 additional zones to rebid (as they did not have a 4* property). Had to do it in 2 tranches, it helps that you can bid again within 2 hours, whereas previously you had to wait 24 hours. My second try started at $84, I did not win it then, but PRICELINE asked that if I bid $118 I would win the bid. I rejected and kept bidding. 2 zones later I won it with a $86 bid (total of $912 with taxes) plus I have to pay an additional resort fee of $20 per day at the hotel. Overall, I am happy with my win.
  4. As a follow up. I was greatly satisfied with this property. The location is amazing, 1 minutes from Altare della Patria, very close to the Collosseum, also 10 min. from the Pantheon. The rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is good, and the staff is very helpful and attentive (e.g. They arranged a taxi pick-up service to the airport at 4:30 am and had snacks packed for us). Regards.
  5. After my failed experience with the Rome "deal", I went a in a bit safer and reserved through Priceline Express. I knew I was getting a 9/10 rated 5* hotel. The price was $139 plus taxes, total of $484 for three nights The amenities listed were: pets allowed, restaurant, fitness center, business center I used the PRICELINE links provided by better bidding.
  6. I finally got a "deal" by bidding. I am disappointed with this deal. Hosianum Palace guest house has a 6.4/10 rating. I did not have this property on my radar as I was bidding for a 4* hotel in Piazza Navona or Spanish Steps areas. Started bidding $70, after a few tries I reached $78. I truly believe Priceline should hold itself to higher standards and not allow lowly ranked properties to compete for bid rooms.
  7. Thanks for the advice. After a few days of bidding, as I was only re-bidding in two additional zones, I finally came through with this win. Even though the rating is 7.2/10, and tripadvisor has it around #700 of 1700 hotels, I am pleased with the location. Total with taxes for 4 nights was USD 480 Best regards
  8. Thanks, I was affraid the guess would be on the far corner of the zone. I will keep bidding for the St Germain area. I will update whatever ends up happening. Regards.
  9. Hello, I am finding a few Express deals in Rome have a hotel fee of USD 6 per person per night. Is it a fee most hotels charge? perhaps as a tax to tourism? I am looking at a 4* hotel in Spanish steps. Price in PRICELINE EXPRESS: $79 Dates August 22th to August 27th. Amenities: Free internet, bed choice available. Guest rating: 7+ Can you take your best guess? Regards.
  10. Help please. Whats the best guess for the following PRICELINE EXPRESS deal? Paris, Champs Elysees - Arc de Triomphe area.Star level: 4*Price: 88 (plus taxes)Guest rating 8+Amenities: Pets allowed, free internet, bed choice available. (there are a few choinces and the highest price is $132 with "garden view")If the guest rating was 7+ I would think it may be the Hyatt Regency Etoile, but since its 8+ I cannot make an educated guess.
  11. Started my search using the PRICELINE link provided by betterbidding. I've been bidding since the past 5 days, started low at 50, reaching for a 5* hotel. It is a big help that you do not have to wait 24 hours to bid anymore, you can rebid in 3 or 4 hours. I got up to $98 and did not win my bid. Nonetheless, I booked through PRICELINE EXPRESS with $102 and a 5% discount, for three nights, total with taxes was $335. Amenities shown were free parking, business center, restaurant and free internet, with a 8/10 guest rating.
  12. I used the PRICELINE link provided by betterbidding. I first tried naming my own price. Started at $80, then went up by increments of $2. After several days my max bid was $110. Booked thru PL Exoress for a hotel with a 4 star hotel with an 8+ user review for $116. Eventhough I am on the "other side" of the river, I suppose it is still a good location, otherwise it would not be rated 8.
  13. Used the PRICELINE link provided by betterbidding. When I was naming my own price the site told me I was bidding too low for the zone and star level, I went ahead anyway and won it on my first bid. $50, after fees and taxes its $62.
  14. Used the PRICELINE link provided by betterbidding. Tried bidding $50 and $55 but was not successful. Because of time constraints I ended up buying through PRICELINE EXPRESS. It was $63, after fees and taxes $73 per night.
  15. Booked through Price.line using the link provided by betterbidding.com Won it on my first bid of $35. After fees and taxes I got charged $45, which is still a good deal.
  16. Started my search using the PRICELINE link provided by betterbidding. I had a change of plans and had to extend my stay for another 2 nights. First bid was $52 for a 3.5* hotel in Scottsdale, the page said for $7 more I could win the room but I declined and added a free bid zone (apache) and won it a $53 ($129.70 with taxes and fees for both nights).
  17. Started my search using the PRICELINE link provided by betterbidding. First bid was $40 on Scottsdale for a 3.5*, got rejected and asked for an increase of $20 to get a winning bid. Instead I added a free bid zone with $5 increments (apache, east mesa and happy valley) and won it at $55. I hope they dont charge a resort fee...
  18. Started my search using the PRICELINE link provided by betterbidding. I was on a 3* hotel budget, the priceline express showed a 3* hotel in downtown for $62. There was only one free re-bid zone (San Ysidro). I won the hotel on my first try at $52 plus taxes and fees for a total of $66.17 The hotel charges parking at $16 per day.
  19. started my search using the PRICELINE link provided by betterbidding. Priceline express had a 4* hotel in the area at $96. 1st bid was $76, added bidding zones with increments of $2. Finally got it at $84 plus taxes and fees. They charge $51 for parking, but there is a parking garage just over the street.
  20. Started my search using the PRICELINE link provided by betterbidding. I am attending the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament for the final weekend, hotel prices in Palm Springs and Indio are extremely high. Thanks to a previous post of a hotel win in Beaumont, and Banning is a 45 minute drive to the stadium. Started yesterday with a bid of $70, and added bidding zones of desert hot springs, calimesa and highlands, with increments of $5. today I got it with a $95 + taxes and fees. Total for three nights $326.85
  21. Started my search using the PRICELINE link provided by betterbidding First bid was yesterday at $40, had to add zones and increase bidding, today I got it for $59 plus taxes and fees.
  22. I started my search using the PRICELINE link provided by better bidding. Reading the previous posts and using the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins I was aiming for this specific property. Started with a $55 bid on napa downtown north, and added free rebid zones with $5 increments I used Benicia, Healdsburg and finally Upper Napa Valley. The total for two nights is 168.64 (taxes and fees included). I am very pleased with this win.
  23. Thank you. The Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins is a great tool, it will help me not only for Indian Wells, but for the other trips as well. The Hyatt would be nice, but to stay within the budget, and almost assure not getting hit a resort fee I will drop to a 2* hotel instead. On PRICELINE EXPRESS it gives you the choice of a 2* hotel for $66 in the Rancho Mirage area but on the California hotel list the lower star level for that zone is 2.5*. I started bidding at that star level at 48 and currently am at 54, I will post as soon as I win the bid.
  24. Started my search using PRICELINE link provided by betterbidding. The Accenture golf match play PGA tournament is being played in Marana, AZ. 1st bid was 35 on Tucson Aiport, got rejected and was asked to bid 44 to get the win. Instead I added Oro valley with 39, rejected, and finally North Tucson with 39. This is the first time that the winning hotel does not shows right away, instead I got this message: "Thank you for your patience We
