  2. It is for the same trip, but we are not having any luck with Priceline bidding, so are investigating other options as the clock tics. Looking at splitting trip between two hotels... so that we have somewhere for at least the first couple of nights. Price is $289, for 2 Dec - 4 Dec
  3. Looking on Hotwire, would appreciate if anyone can help identify this property 3*, Central Park Area Amenities: Boutique Hotel Complimentary Breakfast High Speed Internet. thank you.
  4. Thank you for the bidding strategy. Still trying for a win. I will update to close thread.
  5. Sorry, I was thinking $250 + tx/fees, given the timing. Yes, we are good with any of the zones in Manhattan (with the exception of UWS and UES, unless the price is very good), ie. Downtown, SoHo, Empire State, Midtown East, Midtown West, Times Square. I don't know much about Madison Square Garden area, but am open to suggestions. thank you your response.
  6. We have just decided to do a last minute trip to NYC -arriving Wed 2 Dec and leaving Monday 7 Dec -prefer Central Park South area and south of that in Manhattan, closer to activities -would consider Upper West (East) side if price is right -prefer 3.5* or greater -hoping for around $250, (based on what I have seen on the board) -flexible on amenities. Understanding that this is a very busy weekend with Tree lighting etc, I would appreciate any help you could offer. Thanks in advance.
  7. Just a quick follow up on the Crowne Plaza, Universal-Sea World, Orlando The hotel and staff were both excellent. The rooms were large and clean, very well appointed and the staff willing to help. There is a lot of traffic on the busy road so perhaps request a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the pool. There were daily free shuttles to Disney(drop off at Epcot, where you could use Disney shuttles to get to other parks) leaving at roughly 8:30am, 10:30am and returning again at around 7pm and 10pm. The ride to Disney is approximately 30 minutes. With the timing of the shuttles returning from Disney it is not possible to stay for the fireworks at the Disney parks at this time of the year as they start at 10pm. The hotel is very convenient to Universal Studios. There are a number of outlet malls a short distance away and restaurants within a 2 minute drive.
  8. Savings Barn link for Priceline. Initial Bid $35, increased by $5 with re-bid zones until accepted at $55. Bid accepted for nights 21, 22 Feb 2006. taxes: $21.89, total for two nights: $131.89 TeaSea
