  1. I think the only real 5 star in So Maui is the 4 Seasons, so that is a good price if its that. Kapalua might be the Ritz Hotel or possibly the Ritz 'Residences'
  2. Interesting, I am stumped. I first thought Fond Doux but it doesnt seem to fit. Maybe Stonefield Estate?
  3. You definately want to hunt HOTWIRE for quad occupancy, you might find a suite property that has 2 doubles and a sofa bed per room Of course Im not suggesting you put more than 4 in a room
  4. I have a strong hunch that is the Westin S Coast Plaza, but the amenity set can fit several of the business hotels(like Hilton Hyatt Irvine). Since you have a weekend stay you can try to Priceline a room $15-25 less if cost is an issue and you need just one bed While I think the Westin is one of the better ones(if not the best 4 star around there), I dont think there is a 4 star in that area that is bad. If you do stay at the Westin, Scotts nearby is excellent for dinner and you can even walk to the OC Performing Arts Center if they have a play
  5. Aaron needs the entire amenity set, as Im seeing one that might be yours but its $108 which I think is a new amenity set for the Hyatt Newporter(Hyatt Regency Newport). Get the amenity set for Aaron, and Im sure he can offer more help
  6. Travelocity has the 4* Hyatt for $279 includes 2 for 1 breakfast w/free cancelation til 7/15 You can book that and try rebidding later when maybe the Westin or Sheraton become a little more motivated to sell rooms on PRICELINE
  7. The only time I did a last minute Cruise, I called Cruise.com and they gave me an unbelievable deal on a Balcony room. Their advertised deal was good, but they knocked another 1k off when I called. Anyways, some ships have single rooms, many dont. Go to the Cruise.com website, you might find something(inside cabin) for around $500 after fees
  8. You can go to tripadvisor and look up their reviews, I haven't stayed there in years. Its next to the Fashion Island Mall, so you can shop & walk to plenty of good restaurants.Since its a Friday night, you can walk to a few places that have live music too.
  9. The HOTWIRE 4 star 95% Hotwire approv rate in South Maui is in your bid range @ $207/nt(I would guess the Makena Resort)
  10. I'll guess that one set is WITH Casino, the other withOUT. The averages are for which set they are in
  11. I dont think thats been reported, but would guess its the Ports of Call Resort which used to be the Comfort Inn.
  12. The Hotwire Price summary will show price per night but taxes & Fees for ENTIRE stay. I looked your sup, its a total of $196 w/$16/nt not $32/nt in fees
  13. Nice deal for a great property Thanks for the update Have a GREAT trip!
  14. The routine is clicking the links, providing dates, # persons & amenity set
  15. I think that might be a new amenity set for the Makena Beach Resort
  16. Im not sure either, but with yellowdog thinking a 100% positive rating and 4.5 TA is about as good as it gets. Anyways, when I was looking this property came up and I thought it was Sunshine Suites. However I opted for the 4* on my dates
  17. Some hotels are reclassed back & forth (HOTWIRE is very independent in this matter), for instance the Makena Golf Resort is on the list as a 3.5* but has been reported as a 4 if you look at the list. In my opinion, it can pass for either a 3.5 or 4*(in reality its a 3.75* hotel in a 5 star location). In that same theme, I think the Grand Wailea can pass for a 5*. But you must look at the amenities and/or see if its in review gatherng stage. It might be a new property It would be so cool if 4 seasons popped up here(just dreaming) Anyways, I think its important to report ALL the information on wins to allow Aaron & thereuare to compile uptodate lists for all of us to benefit from
  18. Sheraton Garden Grove - Anaheim South Hotel would definately be my guess too, as its a match. However, now its showing $98 for your dates
  19. Dates? btw- Yes, you are guaranteed bedding for everyone, but that doesn't mean some dont slip thru the cracks. Even with Orbitz I have been told they couldn't provide bedding for everyone because the travel site didn't inform them. I call ahead and make sure they have the reservation correct
  20. Since you are going to move anyways, try a different area. Maui offers several different microclimates. Wailea would be an excellent choice(much drier), Hana(Rain forest) Kapalua (tropical) or the high country(like someone moved the Sierras to Maui imo- The 4.5* Wailea is a really good deal(my guess the Grand Wailea) OR Drop your luggage at the Westin and take the Ferry to Lanai or Molokai taking only an overnight bag and spend the day/night there
  21. That looks like the Makena Golf Resort, but did you see the 4.5* for only $60 more? Check it out and perhaps its the Grand Wailea If its the Grand Wailea, thats a huge step up for $60
  22. You should start another thread w/your dates. The 4.5* on your dates might be a different property even if the amenity set looks the same. This property for the listed dates by the OP I would guess ISNT the Paradisus Golf. Its probably one of the Barcelos Note: When you see a 'marked down price' in HOTWIRE, IT DOESNT mean THAT property has that price. Hotwire uses an average of that star level
  23. Resort Free Parking Beachfront Property Oceanfront Property Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Spa Services Children's Activity Program Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower 95% Hotwire approval rating 4.5 TA rating 15% 'Resort Fee' Rooms here are about $300/nt, comparable properties were $250+ so this is a deal. Yes, I used the better Bidding HOTWIRE link. Thank You contributors here at Better Bidding
  24. Thank you for sharing this win, Id rather stay at the St Regis than Pelican Hill anyday. Note: There is another property coming up in the 5* category with a very similar amenity set but with 'free internet' and 100% Hotwire approved I think that one is Pelican Hill, which causes me pause for my dates because its coming up & thats the only 5* that wouldnt work for me because of location. It can take 20-35 min to drive from PH to the Ritz
  25. Its been a few years since Ive been there but the Fairmont is a very nice hotel, and it is not too businessy if you are going to CA for leisure
