  1. I saw a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $47.00 for a 4* hotel on the Strip South with no resort fees. I knew it was for Paris or Planet Hollywood which are both pretty nice. I thought I could get if for less and I wanted to use the $7.00 bonus cash that I received in an email, so I decided to name my own price instead (and hopefully get one of these 2 hotels so I didn't have to pay the resort fee). I used all 4 rebid zones and my bid was finally accepted for $38.00. I think it is a pretty solid win for this hotel...Thanks for all the info! And of course I used the the PRICELINE tab again to get the room.
  2. It is down to $212.00 now. My guess would be Encore or Wynn since it has a min guest score or 9 or higher and since the resort fee is $25.00. They are the only 2 resorts in the Las Vegas Strip North area that I see that meet both these requirements.
  3. It looks like the Holiday Inn Goleta (by Santa Barbara) has just been changed from a 2.5* hotel to a 3* hotel over the past 24 hours. I was bidding last night for a room in another city around the area and there were no 3 star rooms available to bid on in this area and all of a sudden there is one today. I see that it was previously won as a 2.5* but is listed now as a 3. I'm not sure if you want to post this to the master page yet since nobody has won it as a 3 star yet. Just a heads up so people won't select this area as a rebid zone. I probably would have won it if I didn't check the re-bid zones again today!
  4. Be careful of adding Summerlin to this specific search...Sometimes the resorts in Summerlin (JW Marriott and Red Rock) can be considered a 4 or even 5 star equivalent hotel and you might win one of them. They are nice hotels, just pretty far from the strip and not as not as much of a party scene as the others on the strip
  5. The amenities aren't shown on my confirmation page and I don't remember the exact amenities that were listed prior to my bid. The only thing I quasi remember is that I was guaranteed a guest score of 7.00 (maybe 8.00) or higher. Thanks
  6. I started with a bid for $55.00 for a 4 star hotel in the Downtown and University Park area-rejected. Re-bid new zone $60.00 rejected. Re-bid new zone $65.00 rejected. Re-bid new zone $70.00 rejected. Re-bid new zone $75.00 Offer was ACCEPTED for the Hilton Salt Lake City Center. Good price, was hoping for the Marriott but I knew I would most likely get the Hilton since it was cheaper than the other 3 options. Not Bad. Of course I used the PRICELINE link to get the room.
  7. I saw there was a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $47.00 in this area (not including tax). I started with a bid for $30.00 for a 5 star hotel... rejected. Went down to 4 star hotel and increased bid to $32.00. Offer was accepted. I am happy because this hotel doesn't have any resort fees too. So after all is said and done, got the hotel for $42.00 after taxes. Not Bad. Of course I used the PRICELINE tab to get the room. Thanks for all the info!
  8. I’m pretty sure I know the answer to this already, but I’m going to try anyways…There is no way to get out of this reservation correct? I just saw that hotwire today has a 4* hotel in the Gaslamp Quarter North-Horton Plaza for the same days for $81.00 per night for the same nights. I’m pretty sure I’m S.O.L . but was worth trying to find out to save $40.00 a night. Anything I can do with the Big Deal Guarantee? Please let me know if there is anything that can be done….Thanks
  9. Of course I used thePRICELINE link to book both of my bookings. Thanks for looking into adding the new zone!
  10. I just previously had won this hotel for $121.00 a night from Friday 09/21/23 - Sunday 09/23/23. Since I was going down to Dan Diego for a football game, there were other people who wanted to go too. I told them I would try and get the same room/rate... I actually tried this bidding @ $115.00 to see if we could get the room for less than what I paid since it was for only one night, but it was rejected. Just put in the $121.00 and it was accepted for the same hotel: Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego from Saturday 09/22/12 - Sunday 09/23/12. The City Zone Should actaully ready Gaslamp Quarter - Convention Center. Thanks!
  11. First off, I was only bidding in the Gaslamp Quarter - Convention Center area, which from my understanding is a new zone. So the City Zone above should read accordingly but I wasn't able to pick that zone yet. Is it because it is such a new zone? I started bidding from $80.00 and used 11 re-bid zones. The offer was finally accepted at $121.00 for the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego. I saw that somebody else had previously won a bid for this hotel for $111.00 on the same weekend so it was the property I was expecting. I paid a little more than I thought I would have to, but I"m still happy with the price. The same area on Hotwire was going for $141.00 a night. Thanks for all the info!
  12. I treid to post a couple of times previously but I couldn't log in. I am finally able to log in a post so here it is (Sorry for the delay). I saw that there was a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $75.00 in this area for a 3.5 star hotel for Sunday 09/02/12 - checking out Monday 09/03/12. There were only 3 options so I knew I would probabaly get this hotel. I started bidding at $50.00 rejected in Redondo-Manhatten beach area.I added Inglewood area(no 3.5 star hotels) @ $55.00 rejected. Added Lawndale area (no 3.5 star hotels) @ $60.00 and got the Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach And Marina. I was happy with the price and it was a nice hotel (I think the hotel was listed for $169.00 that night).
  13. I used the site's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to start searching hotels. I did my research and saw which hotels I would get in this area. Started at $55.00 per night, then $58.00, then finally got an accepted offer for $60.00. This time of the year the hotels were super expensive so I feel like we got a great deal. Median price for 3.5 hotels was $256.00 per night. Thanks for all the information!
  14. My Guess would be the Red Lion Inn...If not that then the Sheraton Garden Grove Anaheim South maybe...
  15. I used the site's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to start searching hotels. I tried bidding on Priceline today with no luck but ended up going to Hotwire and got the Embassy Suites for $66.00 a night. The hotel was listed with these amenities: Suite, Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, & Kitchenette. I had seen in the other forums that Embassy Suites had been previously listed with this exact list, so I already knew what we were going to get. Thanks for all the information! You guys are the best!
  16. I almost forgot...there was a $5.00 off name your own price as well so the total price was $66.00!
  17. Thank you, that is what I found as well as well... We actually used PRICELINE and HOTWIRE and narrowed down our search to 4 Priceline hotels at 3.5 stars in the mission Valley area (my wife wanted to be closer walking distance to the San Diego trolley than the Crowne Plaza). We got the Hilton San Diego for $71.00. I will post in the priceline forum. Thanks for all your help.
  18. Hi, I was wondering if somebody could help me find out which 3* hotel in San Diego - Mission Valley/hotel Circle I would be getting? I checked hotwire to check into a hotel from 03/10/12 - 3/11/12 and find this deal below Mission Valley - Hotel Circle area hotel, 3 star for $67.00 normaly $109.00 This Hotel features the following amenities: Fitness Center Restaurant Business Center Recommended: In 85% of Hotwire customer reviews. Any help is much appreciated!Thanks...
