Any possibility it could be something else?

Tried again for the 3* in Millennium Park and River North... I bid up to $200 with no luck! That's pretty much my max now. Will just have to keep an eye out since I really had my heart set on that area... hopefully there will be a good last minute deal later on.

I bid up to $100 for a 3.5 near MDW today, and it failed... total bummer! That was my other back-up plan considering I'm really running out of options here.

How much should I bid for a 3.5 star hotel near MDW?

Tried again today, adding in Lincoln Park into my search. Went up to $180 for 3 star with no luck. I may just have to consider The Ohio House Motel as AaronJB has previously suggested. Looks like they don't charge a cancellation fee... so maybe I'll book it for now, and try Priceline again last minute.

Do you know of any 4 star hotels outside of Downtown that offer free shuttles to Downtown?

I tried bidding again today. I've gone all the way up to $100, and have even tried 3.5 and 3 star hotels and have failed.

I don't have a back-up plan, and unfortunately I've already bought my plane and train tickets... I'll be flying into MDW on the 1st, then leaving by train on the 4th. This will be my first time in Chicago. Our only plans so far are to go to the Sears Tower, Zoo, Navy Pier, and Millennium Park. I'm not renting a car, and would prefer to stay as close to Union Station as I can.

June 5-8 I've tried bidding for the last few days with no luck so far. I started my bid at $70, and have gone up to $85. I think my max bid will be $110... do I have a good shot, or what changes should I make? I've noticed that the hotels for the dates I need are going for around $400... does anyone know why? I looked at the week before and the week after and those are pretty much half the price.
