  2. Hi and thanks for your reply. This offer at Palazzo is certainly good. I just need to consider this thing about the risk of 2 vs 4 people though even if I would book the 2 queen room. Haven't used PRICELINE before (HOTWIRE on many occasions though) so I guess that is something I should look into.
  3. Thanks for your help. Is it possible to know if the Vdara option is the the one with separate bedroom or the studio where pullout sofa and kingsize is in same room. It says "suite" but I'm not sure what to read into that? Any other recommendations for other hotels I can try with either less than 5* or other areas than the fountains?
  4. Yes. I used this search: Las Vegas 07/20/2017 - 07/23/2017 1 Room - 4 adults 2 queen beds are not a requirement. But I don't want the hotel to give me 1 king bed and tell me that I can squeeze 4 adults in 1 King. Reason I say this was that when I booked ARIA through Hotwire in 2012 I got 1 King for 3 people even if booking was for 3. I had to go back down at reception and pay for a rollerbed extra. Hopefully Hotwire has more control of this now. Sofabed or rollaway are acceptable as long as the room can sleep 4 adults without squeezing people together in 1 or 2 small beds. I see some offers have "bed choice" which probably is a good option. All 4 search results mentioned above says "Bed choice available". Tricky one. This is the end of a long roadtrip with significant cost. I was hoping to use less money here and get good value for money (not necessarily 5 stars). I would say those 2 out of 4 above with price in and around $300 is really pushing it. I can't rule therm out though. I always try to do that.
  5. Just started looking for a nice hotel ending our 3-week national park roadtrip further north. Would like some nice relaxing for the last 3 days and hope to find something nice in the center if the strip. The reason for my search is that I stayed at ARIA 5 years ago and liked the hotel and area. We're a family of four including two young adults (19 & 23 yo). Can have 2 queens or (of course) separate bedrooms if possible. All mentioned below are 5* Center Strip - Fountains SEARCH: Las Vegas 07/20/2017 - 07/23/2017 1 Room - 4 adults I used BiddingHelper.com HOTWIRE EASY VIEW to find full amenities. Please help me ID these. I'm open to other suggestions if someone knows about other very good deals that can fit. But for now I've started with these: 5* $297 5-star Resort in Center Strip - Fountains area Thu, Jul 20 - Sun, Jul 23 1 Room, 4 Adults 90% recommended Favorite! 8. BTW: Thanks a lot for the help and the spot on identification.
  9. Hmmm...I'm using mostly 4 adults since it seems 3+1 child doesn't make a difference(?). Couldn't find Chelsea htl at that price with 3+1 either. Could the web-interface tool used make that much difference? (Biddinghelper:Hotwire easy view VS Biddinghelper:Hotwire VS normal Hotwire) Any updated suggestions for same (+/-$200) or for slightly higher price? For example I'm seeing one for Times Square: 4adults, March 30th-April5th Times Square - Theater District $223 pr night FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking 70% recommended
  10. Thanks for those. Absolutely interesting. What would be your suggestions if I were to step up the price a little bit? BTW: Problems seeing the Chelsea one. I see one 3* for Chelsea around $219/223 though.
  11. For various reasons I haven't booked my stay yet and it's getting close to the date. Can you give me one or a few suggestions from my previous preferences? ( I guess those first recommendations have changed to others now). - Area....would say East or west midtown Manhattan and everything to the south on Manhattan. - 3 stars and above - Clean nice rooms with ok sleeping conditions (rollerbeds are ok....sleeping 3 in a twin is not so ok). - My experience tells me that I seldom use extra facilities like gyms, pools etc in New York. So that's really not that important. - THe familiy is quite addicted to Wifi though unfortunately When: March 30 -> Apr 5th 4 Adults staying in same room Price +/- $200
  12. 4* Times Square - Theater District Area Hotel 4 adults, 1 room, March 30th - Apr 5th Times Square - Theater District area 90% recommended 45% OFF $423 ǂ $231 per night This hotel charges a resort fee of about $28.69 per room per night Complimentary Free Internet Amenities Pet friendly Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Self-service laundry Accessibility Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired Reviews Hotwire customer reviews 90% recommended (421 total reviews) Tripadvisor: 4 out of 5.0
  13. Actually I think the Aria-incident was a little bit different when I think about it. I think there were only one king in the room. We were 3 of which 2 of them were my kids...at that time aged around 14 and 18. I had booked for all 3 of us but had to pay extra for the rollerbed. Similar thing happened with Hotwire at "The Orlando" in Hollywood on the same trip. Maybe this won't be an issue now searching for 4 ppl of which 3 are adults. BTW: How do I find those offers you referred to?
  14. Thanks a lot! Both these are of interest, and I think I can stretch the budget for the more expensive one (since I don't have a definitive budget) if you think it's worth the difference. My wi uaranteefe loves to eat breakfast at the hotel though. My concern is what I will get from those deals booking for 3 adults and 1 child? 1) Could we be given a room with one double and one single and told 3 can sleep in a king bed? Or will we be guaranteed at least two double beds or as a minimum 1 double, 1 single and a rollerbed...and guaranteed not having to pay extra since we're 4 if that's what we booked? (Some years back I had to pay extra at Aria in Las Vegas for rollerbed when I booked for 3 and got two single beds). 2) How do I find/identify these two deals mentioned above on Hotwire?
  15. The closer I get down to $200 pr nite the better I would say.
  16. Since we're staying 6 nights I assume this will get pricey anyway, but I guess these are my criterias: - Area....would say East or west midtown Manhattan and everything to the south on Manhattan. I haven't really thought of Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Jersey etc as options (should I?). - 3 stars and above - Clean nice rooms with ok sleeping conditions (rollerbeds are ok....sleeping 3 in a twin is not so ok). - My experience tells me that I seldom use extra facilities like gyms, pools etc in New York. So that's really not that important. - THe familiy is quite adcited to Wifi though unfortunately - And yes....my 20 y.o. will be listed as adult unless there is a good reason not to (price/discounts etc) When: March 30 -> Apr 5th Adults 2 1 x 20 y.o (should be added to adults above making it 3 in total) 1 x 16 y.o. I guess I should just start searching and see what pops up....then come back here for id.
  17. Any suggestions on how I can find rooms that would fit a family of 4 in Manhattan the week Monday March 30th until Sunday April 5th? I'm considering Hot.wire, but I have also looked into an apartment rental. Anyway, it seems to be pricey (not surprisingly really). Seems that hotel rooms outside Hotwire/apartment rental would start around US$250. An apartment rental might be cheaper but not much. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Are there any known good delas/hotels where I would get good room for 4 people. Of course the optimal would be 2 rooms but highly unlikely. So what am I guaranteed when I book for 4 on Hotwire? 1 bed, 2 beds, 1 double and 1 single where 3 sleeps in one king? Or what? If Hot.wire doesn't seem to give me the secure outcome I guess I need to go for an apartment rental and look at staying outside the most popular areas.
