  4. Last miniute trip for a weekend gettaway. Got this for $57 a night Amenities were: Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby When I looked at it earlier in the evening, it was around $49 a night. It almost seemed like it went up because I was looking at it ;-0 Used the www.savingsbarn.com to bid.
  5. First bid at $55 was accepted. Probably could have been a few dollars lower, but the free wireless I was using was being flaky and didn't want to spend too much time bidding. Used the SavingsBarn to bid. - Thanks.

  7. 4/20-4/21 (1) night. Used the Barn to bid. Priceline rejected me up to $55 for the same day.
  8. Tried $50 for a 2 1/2*, declined. Used the two free rebids to work my way up to $65 (wanted to be near the beach). Which was accepted for a 3*...at the Doubletree[Virginia Beach Area 1900 Pavilion Drive Virginia Beach, Virginia](hmmm....not good reviews). The doubletree site lists it as $150/night...yeah right. I was hoping to get a Suites type place. Oh well. Used savingsbarn link to bid.
  9. We were actually fairly pleased with this hotel in spite of some minor problems. This hotel appears to be comprised of a tower section and a smaller (maybe 5 story) section. We stayed in on the 4th floor of the smaller section. The room was clean and had a small balcony. Carpet probably should be replaced as it appeared dirty (beach hotels should probably stick to tile floors as a rule). Access to the beach and the pool was via a walkway which was convenient. I noticed that most of the bars were further north up A1A, and it would be a long walk to most of them. However there were a couple of restaurants and a Subway nearby. The Hotel also had a couple of gift shops/deli, but we didn't check them out. The beaches were very nice. The pool was large and about 10 ft deep. It was located top of another building in the complex There was a bar at the pool (pi

  11. I noticed on TOBB there is a thread about this place. Apparently it's pretty bad. They have a central tower hotel that is 'ok', but the wings of the hotel are really old and decrepit. It could possibly be one of the worst hotels on Priceline.
