Very surprised to get that at this price considering that the Steelers will be hosting the AFC Championship game that day. It's the same price that I knew had been accepted for a regular weekday, so I started with it and nailed it on the first bid.

Here we go Steelers, here we go!!

  2. Flying in late on the 24th, and at first tried the pickup/dropoff at $24 using 2/24 - 3/3. Rejected.

Figuring I had time to bid up a buck at a time, I bumped the request back to 12:05 AM the following day and got it for $25.

Total Charges to your Credit Card:

    Your Offer Price: $25.00

    Total Rental Days: 7

    Subtotal: $175.00

    Taxes & Fees: $91.94

    Total Charges: $266.94

The lowest total price I'd been able to get (on Dollar and using discount codes) was $333.

    Big win here!

  3. Based on the earlier $50 bid and knowing I had a re-bid in the stadium area, I decided to start at $47 and re-bid if I had to. I didn't, and got the airport Marriott. It was kind of nice landing this one at the last minute, since a drive back to Harrisburg after my second Jimmy Buffett concert in three days (and at midnight) wouldn't have been any fun at all.

    Fins up!

  4. Someone has to say it, and it might as well be me.

Yep, I got banned with no explanation. I asked for one, and haven't received it, but I really don't much care. Ya'll seem like good people over here!

At any rate, I created another account, and while I can no longer access her site from my home PC, I easily do so through my work VPN (which is on a laptop exactly next to the "banned" PC and obviously IP address). Oh, and by the way... the VPN is NOT a static IP address, so I can't be banned by that. Whee!

So -- here I am, STILL taking all the tips from their board while giving nothing in return. And you know what? I'm OK with that. In fact, I feel pretty darn good about it in this case.

Thanks all for letting me vent, and can I get anyone a cup of coffee while I'm up?
