This was not my first "win". I got a 2* (Homestead - Mesa) a couple weeks ago for $30/night (Sunday - Friday). Then just last week I got this same hotel in Scottsdale for $30/night (Sunday - Friday). So this week I got a little aggressive. I first tried the dates of 2/26 - 3/4 (Sunday - Sunday) for $25, and then included West Mesa $30, with no luck. So I exited the site and went back in with the dates above for $30/night and Priceline told me if I raised my rate to $36 it would more likely be accepted, and it was. I think I had to pay more because (MLB) Spring Training starts this week and is a mile from one of the stadiums, though when I stayed at the hotel in Mesa the Chicago Cubs were staying there too. This hotel is really nice, new flat screen tv's and bedding, my room last week was really clean and it is in a great area with a Walgreens right next door. I am also going to try extending my dates if I need to, I have yet to try that.

How up to date are the hotel lists for Hotwire and Priceline that are pinned to the top of the thread? I am looking for specific hotels and those just happen to be the only ones under their respective star ratings so I want to make sure if I bid that is where I will stay since there are no other properties listed. Thanks in advance for the help.
