Lubbock West Hotel 3* = $70 Amenities listed: Free Parking Pool(s) Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Accessible path of travel Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower ____ With the amenities listed I thought I would be getting the Staybridge Suites, but this is a nice hotel as well and a bit (just by a hair) closer to my meeting. I'm surprised they split Lubbock into East and West (at about University Ave). The East 3* was for $84 if I remember correctly.

Started with 3* Downtown for $50 - no luck. Went to 3* Downtown and East for $55 - no luck. Then 3* Downtown, East, and West for $60 - no luck. I came back to BB and clicked through with the BiddingHelper instead of the regular Priceline.com button like I did at first. And it gave me an extra round of tries. So with 3*, Downtown, and $65 I won. I was hoping for the Courtyard but the Ambassador is a nice hotel, a little dated, but nice. Also, that's a nice little backdoor to get a few more Priceline tries is to use the regular link and then the BiddingHelper. Thanks guys.

First bid won. Maybe should have bid a bit lower to start, but it's still a good deal (normal price is $109 per Kayak). And of course, I started my bidding by using the BetterBidding PRICELINE links. ;)

Headed to Dallas for a conference. First bid was $65 for 3.5* - maybe I should have started lower, doh. Still a good deal because this is the actual conference hotel and well below conference rate.
