  1. I searched for a hotel in the McCormick Place - South Loop Area for weekend dates in April. A new hotel popped up that I hadn't seen on this site in this area before. 3-Star $70 for dates 04/21/2017 - 04/23/2017 Free Breakfast Free Internet Smoke-Free Rooms Fitness Center Business Center 85% positive customer reviews Results: The Jaslin Hotel. Very pleased with the price on this one, even though there's no free parking. It's within a reasonable walking distance to McCormick Place or a short ride, and I hear there is public parking down the road.
  2. The amenities I listed above were all the amenities that showed before I purchased the hotel. This is the full amenities list after I purchased the hotel: Free parking Free Internet Indoor pool(s) Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Golf nearby Tennis nearby Spa services Hope this helps! :)
  3. HYATT LODGE AT MCDONALD'S CAMPUS Searched the Oak Brook, IL area (near Chicago) and here's the hotel details that showed up in the initial search list: Lombard - Oak Brook - Downers Grove 4 Star $114 $166 90% Recommended Favorite Free Internet, Free Parking, Spa Services, Business Center, Indoor Pool(s), Golf nearby, Restaurant(s), Tennis nearby In the full details listing for this hotel, it gave these amenities: Complimentary: Free Internet, Free parking Amenities: Business center, Fitness center, Golf nearby, Indoor pool(s), Pool(s), Restaurant(s) TripAdvisor: 4.5 out of 5 (301 - 500 reviews) Hotwire Customer Reviews: 90% recommended (12 total reviews) I was crossing my fingers hoping to get this hotel. It is a WONDERFUL and unique place to stay, tucked away in wooded acreage on a nice big pond. Last time we were there, they had bike rentals and a paddleboat you could use. The pool is huge and there's a 3-part hot-tub. The men's & women's locker rooms are spacious, clean, and each include a steamroom and sauna. It's truly a retreat from the busy-ness of Chicago, much-needed after a long day of working at a convention! What tipped me off that this was the Hyatt Lodge was among the 4-5 Star hotels listed, it does not accept pets and it has spa services. The other hotels either accepted pets, or did not have spa services. Thank you so much for this site -- it got me what I was after! Feel free to use this information to update your listing. I also believe I found this hotel on the Express Deals list on Priceline. If you'd like details about it, feel free to contact me.
  4. I was hoping to get the Hyatt McDonald's Lodge, but this Doubletree in Oakbrook looks to be a nice hotel. 4 Star Regular rate $128, got it for $66 90% Recommended Favorite 4/5 on Trip Advisor Amenities shown on Hotwire: Free Parking Free Internet Indoor Pool Indoor Pool(s) Business Center Fitness Center Self-Service Laundry Feel free to update this hotel to the hotwire list. They're listing it as a 4-star, with more amenities. Thanks!
  5. I bounced around Hotwire and Priceline using this site to figure out how I could get the hotel I wanted in this area. I needed some place pet-friendly, and unfortunately through Hotwire and placing a bid on Priceline, you don't get to filter hotel ammenities. Priceline's Express Deal section does specifiy some ammenities, including pet-friendliness, and the deals were decent there. But I was looking for the best deal. :) I used Priceline's Express Deals to find out which pet-friendly hotels were in which areas, and at what star level. There was one for $45/night. Hotwire had a similar hotel with similar ammenities for $55/night in that area. I started checking their named hotels for that area and through deduction of which 2-star hotels still had vacancies (only a couple), I was pretty sure both of those sites were featuring the Extended Stay America in Cincinnati/Fairfield. The other 2-star hotel didn't have ammenities that lined up with Hotwire's or Priceline's Express Deals. So I went back to Priceline, and bid on a 2-Star hotel in the Cincinnati Northwest - Fairfield area (by the way, this area isn't on your list yet) for $30/night. It got counter-offered at $40, but I declined. I went back, added another area that didn't have 2-star hotels available, and bid $35/night. It got accepted! And yes, it was the hotel I was looking for! I called and requested a non-smoking room, which they were very friendly in doing for me. Regularly, $124/night. I got the room for $35/night. Thank you Priceline and thank you BetterBidding!
  6. I actually booked this back on Feb 3rd, but just recently registered. The hotel rate as of today for that weekend is $74. Amenities included: Boutique Hotel, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access (this hotel also has FREE PARKING, which I consider to be a very important amenity in downtown Chicago, but Hotwire doesn't list it) Trip Advisor rating was showing 4.0 out of 5.0 at the time of booking. This hotel is just a few walking blocks (or a ~$5 cab ride) from McCormick Place and is one of the only hotels in the area that doesn't charge anything for parking! The weekend I reserved is for the C2E2 comic convention. Decent hotel especially for the price, free wi-fi. Not the prettiest location, but fantastically close to McCormick. I've stayed here before. On one stay, the room had very, very little amenities....not even a pen and notepad. I think they provided soap but that was about it. But the room was clean. We've gotten a range of quality from the front desk service - from very laid back and friendly, to practically being ignored. FYI, I just today booked this hotel for a Food Show in May through Priceline. Hotwire's rate was up to $86, but I bid and won it for $70 on Priceline for that weekend. So you may want to try your luck with Priceline first, and bid LOW!
  7. Regular room rate was showing $139/night; Hotwire was showing $86/night. Got the room bidding on Priceline for $70! Maybe I should've gone lower ;) This hotel is just a few walking blocks (or a ~$5 cab ride) from McCormick Place and is one of the only hotels in the area that doesn't charge anything for parking!
