  1. Just won this hotel on Priceline. Not quite Happy with the Price/Hotel combination, but can't do anything now :))) Hope it will be a good stay. Thanks for help, you are doing a great job here! Irina
  2. It's for the same dates... should I ask about the specific hotels directly under the same thread?
  3. Can you please help me to identify the hotel in New York Madison Square Garden? I am using the PRICELINE EXPRESS. 4* Costs 156€/ Night Amenities are: * Pets Allowed * Fitness Studio * Restaurant * Business center The sleeping options are: QUEEN BED - NONSMOKING ROOM Save 15% on this stay! €156 /night 1 QUEEN BED + SOFA - ACCESSIBLE NONSMOKING CLASSIC ROOM Save 15% on this stay! €156 /night 1 QUEEN BED - NONSMOKING STANDARD ROOM Save 15% on this stay! €161 /night 1 QUEEN BED - NONSMOKING PREMIUM SUITE Regards, Irina
  4. Thanks a lot. Will do my research on all the three mentioned options. Will get back to you as soon as I have one or more hotels in the view. Thanks for the quick help! Best Regards, Irina
  5. Hallo, we are traveling during the thanksgiving days to New York (11/25 - 11/29) and it's a party of 4 plus a two year old. We would like to have two rooms and a baby cot. I have used Priceline and Hotwire before, but it was a long time ago and without a child. Can you please help me out by telling which system to use (Price.line, Priceline.Express (this is new to me) or Hot.wire) in order to be sure that we are all staying in a same hotel. As far as remember I could only bid on one room at a time on Price.line... Would appreciate the help a lot.
  6. thanks for the answer. Since we mostly going to drive around it doesn't make much sence to valet park for us.
  7. A bit far from the beach, but in general nice Hotel I think. BTW, do you know if it's possible to park on the side streets in Miami next to this hotel, since Valet parking is kinds expensive comparing to the hotel price :(
  8. Just got this hotel on HOTWIRE. In total with taxes costs 147$ and hope it's a good price :-) Amenities are: Free Internet Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access
  9. After about 20 days of bidding and not willing to pay more that 80$ a night, finally got this hotel for just 70$. Looks fine and the location is great. Looking forward to our trip.
  10. ok this is weird and I really need help here, cause I am lost :( I am bidding 4* in the area FLL Downtown (25 May to 27 May) and as rebid zones adding Zones 1,3,6,8,9 since they don't show any available 4* star hotels when I click on them separately. As a retail price it shows me 139$ and here is the weird part: 1. after adding Zone 1 Coral Springs, the amenities of possible hotel change (from about 5-6 amenities to just 2) When I am bidding for 3,5* star hotel in Downtown by adding following rebiding zones: 3,8,9, things become even more strange. Retail price for Downtown 3,5* is 138$ 1. after adding zone 3 FLL-Airport North, price goes up to 140$ 2. deselect zone 4, select zone 8 Miramar, price goes down 123$ 3. deselect zone 8, select zone 9 Pompano beach, price go up to 144$ I really don't want any other zone rather than downtown and don't really understand how can zones without 3,5* or 4* change the amenities or retail price of the hotel. Will really appreciate if you could have a look and help me with an advice here. Thanks a lot!!!
  11. Plus is it normal, that when I add a zone that doesn't contain any hotel of my chosen rate, the price of an avarage hotel in the price box goes down? Does it mean that there is a hotel but is not shown in the rebid zone separately (basically I click on all zones and figure out which ones have my star hotels and wich ones don't and during the rebid add the ones that don't). .... am I missing something?...
  12. NOT for Hotwire, but for Priceline. In the list of possible hotels there are no 3,5* stars mentioned in my chosen regions.
  13. Hallo, I am trying to get a 4* Fort Lauderdale Downtown hotel and noticed that there is a 3,5* Hotel available as well. Since there no 3,5* listed on the priceline hotel list, I am a bit confused. Can somebody tell if they had a win with 3,5* Hotel in FLL Downtown?. Same with FLL Beach 3,5* hotels. My travel dates are 25-27.05 if that's important. Best regards, Irina
  14. Mmm somehow the hotel is mentioned as 3* in the title, but it is a 3,5*. Is there any way to correct that, so others don't get confused? Regards, Irina
  15. The Hotel has like 4,5 out of 5 on Tripadvisor so I am pretty happy :)
  16. OK, splitted my bids and just got my first hotel 3.5* Marriot Gateaway Crystal city - 21.05-22.05 - 70$ (88$ total) so far so good :) not the rest 3 nights :)
  17. Thanks for the Tip :) I am still bidding and trying with a low budget. Have a bit of time yet, so can allow me that :) In general I am trying following ranges: 4* Capitol Hill, White House, Dupont Circle, George Town - max 85$ (max 400$ with Taxes) 3,5* Capitol Hill, White House, Dupont Circle, George Town, Crystal City - max 75-80$ (max 350$ with Taxes) 3* Crystal City, Capitol Hill, White House - max 65$ (max 300$ with Taxes) From the bidding history of others, looks like it's possible to get the hotels for that price. There is something that bothers me a bit. In the box where you enter your price, there is an avarage price for the chosen hotel category in the first choice region. How much lower is realistic to bid bellow that named price? Lets's say the avarage price for 3* in Crystal City was 129$ and my final bid of 68$(as far as I remember) was rejected? What's your experience on that? Thanks a lot. Irina
  18. Done :) I actually started bidding on Washington DC already and one of the posts was of a great help for me (the one that pointed out how many ares don't have 4 star hotels and that I can keep on bidding like 7-8 times instead just 4 of my desired areas). So far no success. Don't know if it's because I am bidding for 4 days (usually people bid for 1-2 days as I see frm posts) or because it's a bit early.
  19. After looking on all the hotels and winning prices I just gave up. Got a nice private appartment next to Penn station instead. Thanks for the reply anyways. Now looking for hotels in Washington DC and Miami/Fort Lauderdale :)
  20. Hi, I am trying to get a hotel room in Washington DC for our travel dates of May 18 to May 22. Prefered areas are in following order: Convention Ctr - Capitol Hill area White House - Downtown Georgetown - Foggy Bottom Dupont Circle - Woodley Park Crystal City, VA The budget is max 100$. We would deffinitely like a 4 or 3.5 star in Capitol Hill or White House area. Do you think it's possible? Also I tried the method of closing the browser and trying to bid again, but somehow it always says that I have to wait 24 hours and they notice that I am bidding on the same trip. Is there any way to bid more than one time per day? Thanks in advance Irina from Germany
  21. Hi, it will be great if you can help me with some direction in bidding for NYC for 11, May to 18, May, since this is my first time on priceline. I have read all the guidelines and have pretty much the idea how it works. Nevertheless there are some questions that still bother me a bit: 1. It's a bit weird for me that all the prices during the biddind are not final (WITHOUT tax and fees), since we don't have that system here in Germany. How many percent of extra costs (fees, taxes, ect) should I plan in head when bidding? 2. From your own experience how much should I plan per day for a 3-4 star hotel in a central location (close to the subway)? 3. Is there any chance to get a hotel with priceline that surves breakfast? 4. Should I start bidding already or should I wait a bit closer to my dates? Thanks a lot. I am sure will have more questions when start bidding.
