My plans are firm.
It's a tough time... The Westin seems to be available for $138, but it seems fairly isolated.
Anyone can suggest a provider other than the usual suspects (Travelocity, Orbitz etc) where I could get cheap fares for Sept? Thanks!
What do you think will be the best time for me to try and bid on Sept 12-13 on Hotwire (or even priceline) for the lowest rate. Does it typically go lower the closer you get to the date? Right now, my only option is 3.5* (the Sheraton) and it's going at $188, which is way too much.
Yes, Withnail & I. It was recommened to me and so I have the DVD right now waiting to be viewed. Journalist/writer as well...
Good luck with the bookings!
While we're on the Beekman topic... I've stayed there and it is my all-time favorite hotel. Not just in New York -- but ever. Very nice hotel. And the view from the restaurant is to die for.
Are you stuck trying to find a hotel during the Toronto Film Fest too? I'm a "VIP" in some respects and hotels actually would lower their prices up to 50% for me, but rooms were still a small fortune. That hotel most likely is the Westin Harbour Castle...
PS. Withnail is the name of a movie, right? The one I will be watching right now, actually. You must be an actor. Just kidding.
You'll at least be by Granville Island, which is a nice spot. One of my favs in Vancouver.
Thank you so much for the great help!!
One more question... In terms of preferences such as non-smoking/king/twin etc... Do you know how I can request these things? Thanks!
I just figured that it probably wouldn't be available at that low of a price, and if I bid higher from the get-go, I won't run out of bid zones?
Anyways, what I did is try price line first, but I got to $96 and decided to go with the hotwire hotel you suggested. I booked, as you have suspected, the Sheraton at $106 (though I REALLY would have loved the Sutton Place Hotel)... I could only get 3 nights at that rate, so I might try my luck with priceline again for a single night...
Now for the plane tickets!!
Thank you so much! Does starting lower actually help in some way vs. me starting with a bid of, say $75 from the get-go?
Also, I read the re-zoning post but am very worried in case I get stuck in the wrong place. Anywhere I can go to find out what my re-bid options are?
Actually 9-12 would be fine, I don't really need the 13th probably. Any chance I could get a four star under $100?
I'm mainly looking at Sept 9-13
I am looking for a hotel in Downtown Toronto during the busy Toronto International Film Festival-- would I have any luck at all you think with priceline? What would my likely bid be? I think I would prefer a **** but my funds aren't high either...
What's my best bidding strategy?
Thank you so much! (I just joined this forum & was reading all the amazing advice!!)
Best bet for Sept 12-13
