  1. 3* Hotel in Johns Creek area (Hyatt Place Atlanta / Duluth ) Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Free Parking, Pet Friendly Not the location I expected. Total spent with tax $104.33
  2. I used the BB Hotwire link, but the price changed from $68 to $69 while I was making my decision. The hotel was rated 4*, but when I closed the deal it said it was a 4.5* due to location. The amenities are Pet Friendly, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s),Business Center. It is 90% recommended. It is my anniversary weekend and I have reservations at a nearby restaurant. So this is perfect. The hotel and gas taxes just increased in Georgia. So total for my $69 room was actually $98.23. This is still a good price to be in the center of downtown.
  3. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE REBIDDING INSTRUCTIONS. 4. Hi, I would be willing to go as high as $100 for a 4* and %85 for a 3* in this area.
  5. I need help with my bidding strategy on Priceline. I need a room for 4/28/12-5/3/12 in Coral Gables. There are three 3* hotels there. I began my bid with 3.5 star at $60. Then went up to $65, $68 and $70, but no luck. Searching the forum, I saw other members who got a hotel last month in this price range. Any tips you can provide, would be appreciated.
  6. Nice deal! I am trying to get a room in downtown Austin for April 14th. Entered two bids for $85 and $95 for downtown, but I was rejected on both. Can you tell me if you included mutiple areas in your request or were you exclusively asking for downtown? Thanks and any tips you can share will be greatly appreciated.
  7. Started bidding at $40 and was asked to raise the bid to $46. Had no time to haggle, so I did and got the Holiday Inn. Used the BB PRICELINE link and I was pleased with my purchase. Other family members also stayed at this hotel during this period and they have their rooms for $40 and $45 using Priceline. So if you have the time, I would definetley negotiate the bid. Nice hotel and not too far from downtown.
  8. I have stayed here several times before and I have always been pleased. The hotel has been recently renovated and now has a small diner on the premises. Room was cleaned and very nice, but the bed was on the soft side. For me, the location was perfect. It is close to the mall and several eateries. I was very happy with my win and of course I used the BB PRICELINE link.
  9. Very nice hotel and great location in walking distance of River St. One drawback is that the hotel only offers valet parking at $15/night even though they own the vacant lot adjacent to the hotel. Bummer..., but I would stay there again at this price! And yes, I used the BB PRICELINE link :>)
  10. Amenities are: Complimentary Breakfast Pool(s) High-Speed Internet Access Sorry, but I forgot to use the HOTWIRE link, but wanted to share the info with my fellow bidders.
  11. I bid $82 for a 4* in the SeaWorld/I Drive south region. It was a no go. I added 3.5* and up my bid to $86 and got the Embassy Suites near the Convention Center. Nice hotel. Great ammenities including free hot breakfast and daily happy hour. I'm here for a conference which reserved rooms at the Rosen and Peabody for $199 a night. So I am quite happy with my win even though I have to walk a few blocks or take the trolley to the Convention Center. :)
  12. My dates are 4/10/11 to 4/15/11 Yes, when I click the see all link on the view details page, it lists the amenities as: 3-star hotel in SeaWorld - I-drive South This hotel features the following amenities: Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. Laundry Facilities (self-service) <amenity names only please... not descriptions> The Hotwire price is now at $46 and it says Recommended in 80% of Hotwire customer reviews I agree with you that I may get a better hotel via Priceleine. I will probably try it, if I can not identify this hotel. Thanks for your help.
  13. I am trying to identify this Hotwire hotel 3* Orlando (Sea World-I-Drive South) $50 Amenities Pool Laundry Facilities (self-service) Thanks
  14. Great Deal! My sister stayed here in September and paid the family and friends discount rate of $97/night. Can't wait to share my win with her. :) Room was nice, but the only working ice machine was in the lobby...a minor inconvenience for the price I am paying.
  15. Turned out it was the Intercontinental. I was hoping for the Sheraton, because that is where my conference is located. The conference hotel rate is $163/night, so this is a very good deal for me. :) I've heard also that the InterContinental is a little bit more elegant than the Sheraton. I'll post a review after my trip. Thanks for your responses.

  18. I am new to Priceline and after reading some of the other posts on the Westin, I feel I may have overbid. Nonetheless, this is far better than the web price of $249. So I am still happy! :)
  19. Stayed at Caesars' at a corporate discount rate of $199/night. My company reimbursed me for the stay so I didn't feel too bad. I was a bit disappointed with the room which was adequate but nothing to write home about.

  21. Thanks for the insight. The Big Apple proved to be too rich for my blood. Ended up at the Days Inn in Bergen,NJ where I commuted. Price was $85/night and the hotel offered a shuttle to the city for $5.
  22. I will be attending a conference on 2/19 thru 2/24 at Caesars Palace. Any suggestions for a close hotel that is cheaper? I searched hotwire and found: 4* on North Strip for $247 Amenities are: casino, pool, spa, business center, restaurant, fitness, tennis nearby Any ideas on what this is ?
  23. Initial bid was $40 which was rejected, but Priceline indicated that If I increased my bid by $12 they could find a room. I did and was surprised to get the Courtyard. Hope it lives up to it's name. :)
