  1. Yes, this is the Holiday Inn at NW 87th that you posted the address to Take care!
  2. Started my bidding at 55$ a night, and went up from there. This is the start of the holiday week, so prices are on the high side. Holiday Inn's website lists the hotel for 155 bucks a night, so I'm happy. Should be a decent pre-cruise hotel. Take care, and hope this helps someone out- Jason
  3. Just got back from my stay at the Hilton San Diego resort...beautiful property in an excellent location. Anyhow, I wanted to respond to the poster who said he/she thought that Hilton HHonor status wouldn't mean much with a priceline reservation... I had read online if you have gold status (which by the way, anyone can get as I did by going to https://www.hiltonhhonors.com/enroll/Enroll1.aspx) some Hilton hotels would make an exception for perks even with a Priceline reservation. Well, I got to the Hilton San Diego and said quite frankly to the check in representative "I know that with a Priceline reservation I cannot be awarded points for my stay, but I was hoping that being a loyal Hilton Gold HHonors member for some time now that I could at least be given complimentary breakfast each day". The rep asked how many were in my party, and I said two-- wahlah... passes for given to me for 11 dollars per person breakfast each day for my entire stay. Then I thought I'd push a little further-- I had heard that the garden villas at this particular resort were a lot nicer then the towers. I asked if it was possible to be upgraded. He said I could be-- but for 40 dollars more a night. I passed... the towers were fine, seeing as how we were just in our rooms to sleep anyways. Just thought I'd pass on this information to all. Take care, Jason
  4. I had started with 4* Coronado and San Diego Coastal at 85, then added downtown and mission valley and changed my bid to 87. I was accepted immediately... Also, responding to the other person replying, on another message board, I've read people who have gotten this same hotel (Hilton San Diego Resort) have called up and added their HHonors membership to a priceline reservation and Hilton accepted it. I plan on doing this afternoon, so I'll let you know if it works. Take care, Jason
  5. First time poster here ... thanks to all the reading I did, I was able to snag this 4 star hotel for 87 dollars a night. The Hilton website states it's a 239 dollar a night room, so all in all, I'd say this is a good deal. A little disappointed about the 14 dollar a day parking, but I've read if you join HHonors, you get free breakfast coupons. So the breakfast ought to offset the parking here. Anyways, thanks again for helping me out with this find. Take care- Jason
