  1. At the end of the day I got Treasure Island on Price Line for $85 per night.
  2. actually these are two different trips (I need help with this one). I will update the other thread later with results.
  3. Hi there, I'll be there on a trip with my family from the 1/10/2013 - 1/12/2013, but so far the prices I've been getting are crazily high (I've been to Vegas before so I have an idea of prices). My goal is to get a 5* Las Vegas North for under $150, which I tried with PRICELINE but did not win. Apparently for those dates the price on HOTWIRE is something like $220/night for 5* Vegas North. My question is, is it possible to get better rates if I try back another time? It's a Thursday and Friday, I didn't know even Thursday nights are so expensive, especially it's after new years. If not, I might need to aim for a 4* South which is on at $82/night. The amenities for this 4* south are as followed: Resort Free Parking Free Internet Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower If I'm going with the 5* south, amenities are as followed: Free Parking Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower Please advise on which hotels. Thank you!
  4. The purchase has been cancelled however they still charged ($471) to my credit card for the one night per room thing (which I don't know why it's $136, which I haven't even lived in and I won't).... so this whole number doesn't make sense to me. And clearly when the rep was talking to me he told me they would be charged $25 from the hotel for cancellation, I don't understand why they can't just refund my money and minus this $25.
  5. Update!! OMG I WILL NEVER IN THE FUTURE BOOK WITH PRICELINE EVER AGAIN!!! I accidentally selected Las Vegas Vicinity North Strip (instead of North Strip) and got Trump at a price that's way expensive than even on hotels.com and everywhere else. So I called Priceline immediately after to see if there's anything they could do. First they told me that they had to charge me over $400 for my cancellation (I got $130/room for 3 rooms for 4 days, the $400 is for all of my rooms in ONE day), which is very unreasonable given that I just called immediately after my mistake. I told them that I selected the wrong area and then they said if I rebook it with them again then I will be charged a $25 cancellation fee (I'm not sure if that's per room per day or just this overall fee). I tried calling them again with my reservation number but this time could not be transferred to any human customer representative as it said my reservation is cancelled and I cannot reach further to any live operator. I am traumatized!!! I just found out that the Trump and Vdara don't even have two double or queen beds (it can't be upgraded or added in, except a sofa, meaning the hotels DO NOT at all have two beds in any rooms. Now I am afraid to book through Priceline again because this trip is a business trip and it would be really weird for us to share the same bed!! Please please advise on what I can do. Does anyone know Priceline's customer rep extension that would transfer me to a HUMAN operator???
  6. We are a group of 6 adults hoping to get double beds for each room. Do I need to call the hotel to confirm AFTER my booking or is there something I can do to ensure this? Dates: May 8th - May 12th I am familiar with the bidding strategies but I'm not sure what prices I'm realistically looking for. I might need to go for 5-stars in the South Strip area. Please help!! P.S. I tried with Hotwire and all they gave me was Trump International; in this case am I guaranteed two double beds per room? I looked at that hotel on Hotels.com but they only showed King beds. Is there a way for me to find out what kind of room it is? Thanks!!
  7. We will be going on a business trip to Vegas for the Lighting Exposition and here is my question: the convention center, would it be in the Strip South or Strip North Aria? On hotwire we can't find any more 5-star hotels for Strip South for some reason. We are 6 people needing 3 rooms from May 8th checking out on the 12th. Also, is there any way to avoid the Trump? I see that there are users on here who got the Venetian or Palazzo and that's what we really wanted. Please help and thanks in advance!
  8. hmmm I did try but it seems like the same "hotel" still comes up even if I changed the parameters. I have 6 adults and 2 kids in total and are booking three rooms. So I can't just book them individually right? I mean what if I get them allocated in different hotels and stuff? It also seems like Wynn and Bellagio aren't really options as the description for the hotel remains the same. Also I am not able to get a Vegas Strip North hotel with a casino (because then I know I'd have higher chances of getting a hotel that I want). And I did the search again with 6 adults and 2 kids but Strip South isn't even an option now (only strip North is available). Please let me know what else I could do. Your help is greatly appreciated!
  9. thanks thereuare! Is there anyway for me to get other hotel options for Hotwire? I.e. by re-doing the search would the system give me another hotel? If not is there anything else I can do? Thanks!
  10. Hi there thanks for the reply! The exact dates are from April 2 to April 6. I do understand that it's not for specific hotels but I'd like to see if I could aim either one or the other... In this case whats the closest I can get? I only want five star hotels which is what I put for the criteria for Hotwire. Any tips would help, thanks!
