Assumed we'd get the Holiday Inn, but got the Country Inn & Suites Asheville Tunnel for $97. We thought we could get a better deal given what we saw on here, but realized it's Beer Week in Asheville and the day before the brewfest, so we tossed that notion out the window. We settled on knowing that if we weren't willing to go much over $100 there was no way we were staying anywhere decent where we could walk downtown.
Was marked as "$173 on other sites." Direct on Country Inn's website it was around $150 for a standard room pre-paid discount rate.
We tried naming our own price on PRICELINE and were rejected for the last week on 3.5 stars at $100 and 3 stars at up to $80.
Booked this same property today for 7/24-26/2012. $71/night plus taxes and fees. Ended up at $83/night after taxes and fees.
We don't even have our plane tickets yet, but when we figured it was the Phoenix, we snapped this deal up!

Disappointed, as I was hoping to get Hotel Indigo. The hotel list here suggested with keyword "boutique" and at 3 stars it wasn't going to be the Capitol. Apparently Hotwire made some changes. Oh well, it will be fine.
